Thanks all - a great help.
Irwin vice grips and Knipex pliers don't seem as expensive as I'd expected - I'll work out what size and pick some up.
Thank you !
Feels cheeky to ask - but would anyone be able to make a pair for me please ? I'll gladly pay for them.
I've started stripping my winch and it's all rather seized - and I wont be able to remove my tiebars without either grinding the bolt heads off or ruining the bars through gripping them.
I got in touch with David Bowyer - but he just said he didn't stock parts for Warn winches.
Good grief.
They won't get anywhere with their legal action. There was an X5 rip off that BMW pursued through the Chinese courts - who basically said 'it looks nothing like it' .....
Wether it's corruption or protecting their own manufacturing base - the official position was effectively in support of the plagarism.
Can anyone recommend a decent (but affordable) brand for vise grips and pliers please ?
I've got some half decent tools but my grips and pliers are all rather cheap and nasty - and its time I got something better ...
Any help appreciated
PaulMc on here can supply a lot of the standard LR terminals and connectors.
He has an ebay store too under something like LR Connectors - he's been super helpful to me.
I'm sure the cost will be frightening ..... But does anyone know the part numbers for the puma 90 window trims ?
I'm fitting a fold down forward facing seat in my Td5 and the nearest way to do the seat belt would be to use the puma trims rather than cut my own.
Thanks for the big write up - and looking forward to the videos .
I wondered about the cage - nearly all the youtube videos show vehicles without cages ...?
I've learned loads from this - thank you everyone !
Can I venture to ask what folk think of buying 2nd hand ? It seems to be what most people have done - but they don't seem to be a home serviceable item, so there is a level of risk I guess.
Seeing things like this make you wonder :
