  1. There are some nice aftermarket seats for the S2/3 now. On the wheels - I love the look of ‘standard’ steel wheels - you can get the beaded rims from SP4x4 for a decent price - so you can fit tubeless modern tyres, and with the wider axles it should fill the arches nicely. https://www.sp-4x4.com/ANR4636PM_LR053845_land_rover_standard_steel_wheel_p/lr053845.htm
  2. I’m looking for a nice smaller Milwaukee to match that kind of description - that balance of small enough to get in places but powerful enough to be worth while.
  3. I did mine with grease and anti seize on the long bolts. Do be careful with your wrist though - it’s so easy to over work them when they are healing - and then end up either setting it back or even getting a permanent problem.
  4. google says yes ! Is that why people say their heads are prone to being cooked? With the water pump so high I’d guess you wouldn’t need the level to drop much for it to be a problem? looks like the belt would run very close to the PAS pump if you didn’t use the fan and tensioner though.
  5. On the 200 the fan runs off the water pump, so it needed to stay, is it different on these?
  6. God isn’t that the truth !! Snagger it looks fantastic - and you will be enjoying the quality long after the price is forgotten.
  7. I never saw the film but I did track down all the clips on YouTube a couple of years ago … initially finding it accidentally as my daughter was watching a (very different!) cartoon called troll hunter - and I remember thinking ‘this looks very different to the type of films America gives us !’
  8. If there is anything any of us can do - do say. Phone call with a (relative) stranger might be odd - but I’ve two ears.
  9. Sorry you’ve been poorly - but very happy to have you back
  10. I got 3 hours in this this week - with a hedge cutter on the back. Cutting brambles.
  11. I have a friend who swears by old David Browns …. They certainly seem better prices than the Masseys
  12. If you took the feed pipe off the top would you not get at it ?
  13. My defender socks have a build issue … I can’t work out if that makes them more realistic or just cr@p socks.
  14. What’s the link road permit ? Is it that middle section that’s owned by the water company? If I remember it correctly. I haven’t been down that way for years - I think I need to go and stay in Rhayader for a few days again.
  15. I’ve just asked my cousin, who lives in Aberystwyth, how it is .. she said they’ve got flooding and a lot of the roads are impassable. Strata is pretty close to there.
  16. Very good point Mike - be very careful. If my memory is right - if you come at it from the south, you can tell how it’s going to be from the first river crossing - where you go over at an angle. If it’s got any pace to it - it’s going to be dangerous further on.
  17. So .. @Stellaghost I thought was an abbreviation of ‘Stellar Ghost’ - because you ghost into the workshop and do a stellar amount of work. 🤷 @Bowie69 I thought of Bowie knives and that you were born in ‘69. Both things that seem very cool to me - thus I always had you down as a ‘dude’. @jeremy996 I thought you had a Ducati…. @pat_pending it took me years to get the joke, so to start with I thought you were just called Pat 🤦🏻 @Ed Poore I had down as a spy .. or Walter Mitty. (It’s a joke Ed!) @ThreePointFive it even took me ages to figure out this was the size of the RV8 …. I just thought you were probably the first honest man on the planet …..
  18. Good tents here on sale: https://khyam.co.uk/collections/tent-and-awning-sale? They are in order of largest and most expensive first - so don't be put off, just scroll down !
  19. For some reason I always thought your name would be an entirely random selection (and possibly deliberately so!) Who knew hey ! Lots of interesting stories here, I had so many of them wrong ….
  20. When I was a toddler I couldn’t pronounce my middle name - Alexander. I used to introduce myself as ‘I’m Stephen Anderzander’ Somehow it stuck around as being another name for me.
