    They look fab. Where do you get your paint from ? I bought a small pot, but it was pretty expensive .. and I’ve a quick release Woden do to at some point.

    One of the issues of a 200tdi seems to escalating prices as they become scarcer - which also unfortunately means they are all older and harder to find a good one. They are the king of Land Rover engines though. 😋

    Big tyres are just so expensive.

    I would think a big portion of Sid’s weight will be unsprung weight? So spring rate may be a bit lighter than the weigh bridge would suggest.

    I think the roamer drives can be used in every gear - and if it’s only for heading back and the odd injection of pace it might work? Better tyres with low pressures, sorted diff locks, he’d have a crawler 😀

    I’ve seen something similar happen quite a bit. Where on a 90” the front wheels haven’t cleared an obstacle before the back wheels are hitting it - whereas on a 110 the back wheels can drive the front over the obstacles and then they have the front on good ground to help pull the back over. Swings and roundabouts in the end I’m sure.

    Mine would always start - so if yours is being immobilised it sounds like something different. Is it a Td5 Defender ?

    Do you mean you’d like a smaller steering wheel ? If so - I think it’s literally just make sure you get the right spline count for your vehicle (36 or 48) and then pick one you like from somewhere like exmoor trim. Ralph is right though - the standard wheel does work fine for off road driving.

    Those callipers look lovely 😊 Out of curiosity- I presume they have a recessed o ring either side of the spacer plate?
