  7. think jen might get upset if you said that picture is jez's new build. anyway jez's new build is likely to be much more organic than a series on portals mike
  8. i seem to recall winching TJ out of that very same hole last time we were there. although it looks like this time he actualy managed to get himself out of the truck last time he couldn't open the doors mike

  12. that might be there official line but i can see no reson not to, personally i'd just change them and keep an eye on it if your worryed i bet if you ask a LR dealer they don't know that either. just checked discovery manual (land rover one) theres no metion of number of studs that can or cannot be changed so like i said i'd just change them. mike
  13. this is mine its home fabed using a bought winch tray the tray sits on top of the front cross member with two of the winch bolts down through the cross member then four uprights either side of the chassis legs through bolted works for me mike
  14. from what your saying your use is the same as mine(though mine is my daily driver as well ) in which case i would say 100" is easyer to live with day to day trust me i know . it's less harsh on props and running gear plus slightly more storage etc. mike
  15. it's purely down to personal preferance mines 100" and a friend (perv) is 88". what use are you intending as that makes a big differance mike
  16. sweet vid is all i can say mike
  17. it was definatly an interesting site like nige says a fair bit of panel damage and that was just the marshals. most i spoke to seemed to enjoy it and the farmer seemed happy so hopefully will be able to go back in the future watch this space . any way many thanks to those that marshaled for us even managed to leave the site at a resonable time which is very rare indeed.
  18. just a thought but could you graft part of the bhd and the centre tunnel section of the disco shell (not normally rusty) into the middle of the freelander shell as this would give you all the correct clearance you need. it would need some thought on the dash etc though mike
  19. somebody else on here was interested in me making a complete fibreglass tunnel to suit the auto box if enough people want them and i can get some pics of whats required then i'll make some up if thats any help mike
  20. i'm sorry you don't agree with the seat belt rule but quite frankly it saves more lives than it ends and as i'm one of the people that gets to help pick brains up before the ambulance arrives tough mike
  21. Take this as a formal wrist slapping , if i catch people without seat belts on trust me they know about it . mike
