  1. MS will work just fine with the sensor disconnected. For the fuel pump I have a Facet one on my CCV truck, just make sure you buy the one designed for EFI not carbs for obvious reasons.
  2. Gwyn's challenge kit will give you a surprising amount of a axle drop. Just be on the safe side I'd give him a call (time zones permitting) or drop him an email.
  3. Mr Parrott, If you can wait until I'm back at work I'll send you one, would probably be the end of the week mind.
  4. Ed, You Sir are a star! If you ever need anything collecting from "Up North", Forum relay etc please let me know as I owe you big time. (Can't say for what for obvious reasons but you know Ed). :i-m_so_happy: :i-m_so_happy: :i-m_so_happy: :i-m_so_happy: :i-m_so_happy: :i-m_so_happy:
  5. That looks more than sufficent. Fitting the Td5 rad, that oil cooler & intercooler might be a bit of a head scratcher but if you can do a bit of fabrication work (without Blu-Tack) I'm sure you will make it all fit. I can't give you any dimensions I'm afraid, I took the Td5 out & fitted a 4.6 V8.
  6. F*** me that's a bit spendy. Cheers Mr OF, will have a lie down & think how I can justify that to the Mrs... Something on the lines of... "Yes it's expensive love but I keep getting the wheels stuck in ruts on the very steep down hill sections, you know what happened the last time I rolled it..." She doesn't need another holiday after all
  7. Neil, I was think of fitting 3 to each of the 4.6 lumps. You buy two first & let me know how you get on
  8. Having owned a Td5 I can't see how the oil cooler could be that effective, it's tiny. I would imagine anything would be sufficent to replace it.
  9. Gent's, Can anybody point me in the direction of any good links for what parts to buy for converting my CCV truck (ex RRC) to full hydro? It will never be used on the road so don't care about trivial matters such as mechanical back up or return to centre. Thanks in advance, Mick.
  10. Had it been done properly the "Micra" would have been a capable truck. Good idea, not enough skill.
  11. Just love the name. MAGICO must be great with a name like that.
  12. Got to get myself one of these http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4165aa6625 Will save me a fortune in petrol
  13. Yep, Oil cooler is a little cylidrical thing bolted to the block & isn't part of the rad in any way.
  14. Jeff, I don't know how old your LR is but don't you think you should take a few pictures of the defect & resulting damage and inform LR? At least it won't be on your mind if some other poor sod has the same failure but doesn't walk away from it.
  15. Really? Is the box the same as the one fitted to the TDV8?
  16. Yes you can, the axle will drop far enough to allow you to fit the springs. How long it will take depends on how seized everything is (like every job on a LR!) & how many toys you have to cut them off. I fitted a full Gwyn Lewis challenge kit in a day. HTH's, Mick.
  17. Gent's, I'm looking at buying a Vogue for the Mrs, was looking for a petrol but I've come across a very clean low mileage TD6 with full MDSH. Are there any known weaknesses with this engine? It's offered with 3 months parts & labour warranty & has done 56K miles with 2 previous owners. Thanks, Mick.
  18. Bowler will be proud I'm sure: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Landrover-Bowler-Off-Roader-/180905829044?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a1ed3e2b4
  19. Will, I've bought several different makes for work, including the Bosch & none of them seem to be able to compete with the SnapOn ones (I'm no big fan of SnapOn these days but the rattle guns are superb)
