  1. Dim/dip only deals with sidelights and dip beam. Check the blue/white wire coming out of the main beam switch. This will tell you if there is power coming from the switch. If it is live then work forward through the connectors at the bulkhead end of the wings. Have you checked the fuse ? Have you checked if one end of the fuse holder is live ? Mo
  2. The was a short news article in one of the mags with an outdoors photo. It would appear that Land Rover are testing the military water with this one. They've also gone back to leaf springs on the back. Mo
  3. James, when you turn on the lights and switch on main beam, is the blue/white wire coming out of the switch live ? Mo
  4. The only compatibility problem would be the top rail with the demist vents in it. If yours are the longer variety then you'll be ok but if they are the earlier short type then you'll need to enlarge the rectangular demist holes in the top of the bulkhead and make new holes for the little self-tapper inserts (you may find the windscreen in the way to do this properly). Or use your old top rail. I'm not sure when they changed the vent size. Perhaps you could tell us what yours is Ralph, since yours is a 200. HTH Mo
  5. If it works in low but not in high then it is certainly the transfer box not the main gearbox. Mo
  6. Coastcard, all the write ups and descriptions of waxoyling jobs that I've seen say 50:50 mix of waxoyl and white spirit. HTH Mo
  7. Beastie, The NAS lamps look really as well as having tail lamps bright enough for the car behind to see I would recommend using the proper connectors, which are a piece of tiddle to fit. Mo
  8. Yup no problem Mark. Adrian, I can post it to you at the cost of the postage or you can collect next time you come this way. Mo
  9. I've got one you can have too FOC, Adrian, if Mark can't find his. Mo
  10. Welcome to the net's premier land rover forum Mo
  11. Have a look here, about two thirds of the way down there is a finned transfer box extension sump priced at 400 Rand (about £28). Might be what you are looking for ? HTH Mo
  12. I got a power steering hose extended at Pirtek, job done. Mo
  13. A rock slider is just a length of box to protect the sill. A tree slider has a tubular rail projecting from the side of this to keep the body away from tree trunks etc. Mo
  14. Thanks les, that's jolly decent of you ! If round is best then I may well take you up on that If square is the stuff to use then it'll be out with my trusty hacksaw Has anyone else done this or have an opinion ? Mo
  15. I would have thought that oil would have lubricated the differential rather better. Mo
  16. For Christ's sake Jamie, you haven't painted the calipers Mo
  17. How best to go about this ? Should I use round tube or box section for strength, I've seen both for sale ? If round is best (it certainly looks better), can anyone bend a couple of bits of tube for me ? Mo
  18. Note though otchie, that the testimonials in this thread are referring to the original X-eng disc handbrake conversion not the poor quality replica made by Scorpion Racing. Mo
  19. I did mine recently and I'd recommend doing the change, do the master and slave whilst you're at it. Mo
  20. Mmmm, the coconut macaroons look good Mo
