  3. Standard on XS model and optional on county.
  4. Yup done it, and also welded stainless-stainless using standard mig with mild wire - results were excellent on both using standard argo shield light on my "hobby" mig

  8. Possible....Yes Been done...Allegedly yes in europe i believe However as marcus says its controlling the engine that is the problem, i believe that one of the tuning companies (possibly jeremy fearn or JE engineering) have got a stand alone ECU that works - the problem is the huge pricetag.
  9. Hmm, thick bit of walnut - the gap is about 1" or more. Sadly even RAVE isnt showing the assembly with the tunnel, only that the shifter bolts down and the cover goes over!
  10. Ok - i mocked it up on a bit of scrap ally and its awful....what am i missing?? Why is there a HUGE gap when the top is mounted onto the base, which allegedly bolts down onto the tunnel??? P.S - can a mod please move this to international as its no longer just disco's and needs more coverage

    The low ranges are the same on all boxes aren't they?? An under drive is somthing i would love to have but i'm not sure that i can foot the £1500+vat price!!
  13. Does anyone have photos or diagrams of how the autobox gear selector mounts onto the tunnel as im using it in my d-lander and cannot find a decent way of mounting the thing, i cant work out if it should be surface mounted or half and half above/below etc....
  14. It only works when the wheels slip so it needs some welly to kick in, however it is regarded to be pretty good when it is working; but a muddy field with loaded trailer and carp tyres......
  15. Yes you can use the facet pumps if you wish. As for twin tanks i'm not sure where you will fit it in...the opposite side has a battery box but essentially if you can find somewhere to put it then yes itll work, i'd suggest things like a balancing pipe unless you wish to run them as a seperate tanks....

  18. Yes you can remove the front prop, stick the t-box in difflock and just take it easy and itll be just fine. Make sure you get decent UJ's not cheapy ones.

  20. Yup, devon is definately in the south Likewise its 6 hours from me too and thats not really accounting for towing a trailer, traffic on the M5,m6, m42....

  22. I found my td5 tank to be much less vunerable than the one on my 200tdi, its neatly tucked up between the chassis rails and pretty well protected, a much better option than the side slung things they used to use imho.
