  1. I was looking for a full of them without luck. No-one has them and the Dutch importer/distributor told me they can't be imported anymore due to them not being made with clean oil and that they do not have an S-mark (Silence).. They could not tell me when these will be available again.. I gave up the search and I'm going for 37" KM2's as they do comply to all the stupid legislations and are in stock. These guys do stock some creepies, but only the 37-14.5x16s.. http://www.opony-4x4.pl/
  2. Mine eats bushes too, for breaksfast lunch and dinner.... The bushes on the shackle end of the front springs rarely survive a good few days offroad use.. They just get torn to bits due to the massive articulation from the front end. Shackle swing combined with the torsion stresses on the spring just ruins them. Even the real deal polybushes didn't last long.. The bushes on the fixed end of the spring are holding up better. The rears are holding up better too as there's less articulation there (springs are further apart).
  3. I can't even remember how much the stuff costs, but it can't be more than €25 for a 5liter can. And I did the whole underside of the cas twice with that amount. I use a spraycan thing (like for watering plants), fill it with the oil and then warm it up a bit so it sprays better. Works like a charm, the next day it has dried up. I still got runners on the door from a few years back, when I filled the inside of the doortops. This stuff doesn't come off easily. I'll be alright then by the sounds of it
  4. I doubt it.... I use ordinary oil to treat garden furniture Works a treat! The stuff dries up and forms a strong protective layer. I coat everything with the stuff, chassis, axles, exposed bolt threads, brake pipe fittings.... the whole shebang. Prevents rust and seizure of bolts/nuts and such. What trouble do you have with the magnets? I even managed to bring this one back from the dead.... Looked absolutely spotless from the outside, perfect housing.. no corrosion, good paint... But the inside.... Got it looking like this.... and although being very noisy it works !
  5. I've never had ANY issues with my E-locker actuators. I've sealed the housings with silicone sealant and extended the breather hoses into the engine compartment. The electrical connections have been stuffed full of vaseline to keep them from rusting. Both housings have been coated in oils that drie up to protect them from water and corrosion. The only downside with the rear locker is that it is slow to engage due to the 6 'spline' locking collar. But I know it is and I try to engage it while making a turn to make it lock quicker. Or slow wheelspin. I'm not doing challenges anyway.... I've got plenty of time.....
  6. Just recently a whole group of our forum has been to Sclayn. Even the owner of the site was on the forum giving the directions to the place and such. Per car it's 60euro for the weekend + 10euro pp for camping.
  7. I've been to Bilstain... once... I love the place! Lots of rocks and steep long climbs. Beware when it's wet though! Slippery clay on the rocks on step climbs can become very dangerous. Sclayn is not far either. And right next to Eindhoven airpost lies De Landsard, an offroad site in a forest. Lots of mud, water and well...trees.. Nice place, but you can't just show up, pay your money and have fun. Certain clubs hire the place for a day on which you can come and play, after paying a 30euro or so fee. Usually there's a club here at least once a month. Inor and Bertrix are in just over the border in France. Only been in Bertrix once, a very long time ago so don't remember much of it..
  8. Turning up the fuel will do heaps more of you want more power, and adjust the wastegate too... (EGT gauge needed!)
  9. I know.... it's insane! If only they were marked 'off road use only' and give you a ticket if you run them on the street.... at least you could still buy them....... f*ck*ng politicians!!!!
  10. Both of them haven't got solid axles ... therefore they can't be an option
  11. Solid axle Hilux would be an option too.. I wouldn't worry about the 4.2 BEB problem. Just swap em out and you're done. They're an awesome vehicle. A good 60Series is seriously expensive....
  12. Oh wait... You've got them under your land rover.. I've got toyota axles so the rims don't fit..
  13. I was a bit too quick.. Whats the condition of the tires? 4 or 5? Bolt pattern/rimsize and backspacing? Got a pic? Whats yor asking price? Thanks
  14. Thanks but no thanks.... not my sort of tire .....
  15. Thanks! Those chevy springs are in the works I'm collecting all the parts to make some massive changes next spring...
  16. Unfortunatley those are no longer available..... not allowed to be sold in the EU due to it not being 'Silent' and all.. Same with Swampers and Simex.... To the OP, better look what's actually available at the moment! I'm strugling to find any 37" Bias ply tires.. There's not much out there.. I might just be 'stuck' with 37" KM2's
  17. You can't beat rear springs up front (with big 14" stroke shocks and relocated mounts) for an awesome ride on the street and huge articulation...
  18. If your using the standard steering relay you can use a coiler drag link, is the exact right lenght for use with coiler axles under a series.
  19. Sagged springs are shorter and fall out quicker under full articulation. It happens.. Standard shocks are short and limit downtravel, that will keep the springs in position. Longer shocks, axle can drop further and springs fall out...
  20. That's what I did.... Series rod inside 80Series draglink.. No problems whatsoever....
  21. Let me add to this... Shamelessly copied from an Aus 4wd magazine a while ago.
  22. That could be a problem. Early senders are screwed into the tank, later ones (SIII) are a sort of twist-lock idea. They don't interchange. Guess how I know..... SIII tank and sender in a Series IIa... Empty reading with a full tank and a very very floppy needle... Reads full when half empty....
