  1. I did the 300tdi light swap, much better! YRM do the new mounting plates
  2. Also got mine from him.. very good lines!
  3. just use a 3.5 or 3.9 cam in the 4.6 block and ditch the cam retainer.
  4. At the land rover show last weekend I saw a defender with 2 rear axles, using normal trailing arms another transfer type box on the 1st diff so it provided and extra output onver the diff housing for the last axle. I meant to get pics but forgot
  5. I have, love the work, but I cant see if you said what joint you went with, you where saying about using the D2 bush (http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-ANR6947P) ? I was at The land rover show last weekend and I saw a 1 link with a pin bush setup.(http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-STC618) not sure if it was that exact joint but seemed quite good in theory with regards to articulation.
  6. I've put a set of the 15" pro-comps on the rear on mine, its been tray-backed so nice and light... bit a an experiment/fun on a budget... yet to see how the perform mind, tho I'm not doing anything fast so damping shouldn't be an issue.

  12. Hi guys, I snapped a bolt when rebuilding the lump and cant find the part number, most the bolts seem to short I've seen/ordered. It is rather long as it goes through the cover and the belt tensioner bracket. I've put an arrow around the bolt in question, any help appreciated. Thanks Mark
  13. The good thing with a single ram is that you can keep the track rod and maintain the Ackerman, but might be worth upgrading the rod ends to a rose joint or similar to cope with the extra stress. Defo a good find with the axles!

  15. Are you going to run Hydro steering? if so single or double ram?
  16. I would guess its a bit like the hydro assist bolt kit. http://www.llama4x4.com/page3.htm Anybody use one of these? Are they any good?
  17. Loads of unsprung weight there, not good for speed or hill climbing. but will be invincible otherwise!
