Ive never had a v8 with su carbs but that looks like some kind of restrictor plate. Someone more knowledgeable on these than me will be along to confirm. If it is then chuck them in the bin.

You can get the original brackets from LR. Just make sure you're sitting down before asking for the price. Im not near my pc that has allbrit saved on it, but if you look on there, or retroanacondas partsbook pdf, you will find the part numbers. Hth

Who called the gnome hunter a troll. What have i missed.. Ive always thought these LED headlights to be all show and no go, but at this kind of price they are hard to ignore. I mean i could spend almost as much just making custom headlight harnesses with relays for standard headlights.. Would i be correct in assuming that LED headlights draw so little current that upgraded harnesses and relays are not required in order to protect headlight switch? If thats the case, then im seriously reconsidering LED's. I now sit and wait to be royally flamed by Nige......... I can almost hear him approaching

I saw the devon one earlier Nigel. It is very close but if you look at the devon one the winch is same height as rest of bumper, whereas the winch in the pic is lower than than the bumper outers. Maybe its a standard LR same as in the attached pic but with the outers raised.

Thats a good point actually. Sooo many really helpful threads have either disappeared, or the pics arent able to view any more. Would be good if something could be done about that..

Seen some pics of the Defenders from the new bond movie. The 1st pic is clearly photoshopped (badly) but front bumper looks interesting. Thought it might be "shopped" as well, but then saw a pic of the actual defenders and if you look carefully it is real. I like the look of the bumper and wondered if anyone knew who makes it. It seems to be a high mount bumper as it comes right up to the bottom edge of the light surrounds but also inorporates a winch and soft a-bar. Any ideas?

I dont mean to offend, but you do have the seal the correct way round? The seal is kind of wedge shaped from the side so it matters which way you have it. Like i said im not trying to teach granny to suck eggs

What James said. Replacement hinges absolutely must be genuine. I used an impact driver to remove my old ones. Very handy tool. Well worth investing in one. I cant remember what size bit i used and unfortumately ive lent it out to a friend so cant nip out and see..

Will be watching this with interest. I bought ESR2102 which is from a 300tdi. I got it before Nige started to stock the proper V8 one. I believe they are essentially the same anyway.
