  1. I use 12.9 allen headed bolts drilled and wired to stop them coming loose sorted that problem for me
  2. It seem its warrantry excludes most things you do with a winch too: Parts not covered by warranty 1. Damage caused by unreasonable use, including failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance 2. Any part used in competitive racing, off road and/or used commercially or rented. 3. Defects caused by alterations or modifications, accidents or failure to follow the instructions in the instruction manual. 4. Normal wearing parts such as cables, clutches and switches, which are subject to replacement dependant on normal wear and tear or require replacement in connection with normal maintenance.
  3. I can recommend these lads in Abergavenny, we were there last year for a weeks offroading and needed parts to repair one of our trucks, not only did they have the parts but allowed us to do the repairs outside the shop, they kindly supplied coffee as well, excellent service and nice guys as well
  4. With the state of the roads here you need all the light you can get, most trucks are also running roof lights too. K
  5. We use hella FF100's which are oval and do not blind you, mine are permanently on with the headlights.
  6. I run a 150 w inverter for my laptop and have no issues with it, the system works well all the time and is not power hungry, I run it off the existing battery. I am running oziexplorer and a full set of calibrated os maps. very accurate
  7. Any photos of these? please.
  8. I agree it was funny and enjoyable but its not a car magazine show, like it normally is, If it was advertised and shown for what it was fine but not really in the slot which normally reserved for the car show. I make a effort to be home to see Top Gear and hope to see new cars etc tested not a bloddy road trip in southern America.

  10. Just watching the latest episode of top gear, A 1 hour film about a road trip, not what I expect from a car Show really. what do you think?
  11. Ha Ha you must be taking the Pi55, main dealers in Ireland must be the worst in the world.
  12. I can pull away from a dead stop in 5th gear (High Box) running 35 inch Tyres?? Best I can do for now, I havent connected the fan of the 2nd Ic, and I must fit the set up properly before I do any more trials.
  13. Hi Mark what engine? negatitive on the water wetter I'm afraid.
  14. whaaaaaaaaaaaaaay HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY :hysterical: , Fitted the second intercooler yesterday, roughly to see if there was a difference, Still smiling :i-m_so_happy:
  15. Thanks for that I was not aware of the airflow being outwards this would explain why the fan pushes the air upwards, I thought we had wired it wrong!! would I be better putting the scoop on with the opening facing the windscreen? The next time my M8 with the double intercooler is out I will get a few shots of it
  16. Possibly as it has a styling kit and extra spots in the front grille, anyway what about fitting the jap intercooler? :)
  17. No it is an intercooler I followed the pipework when I saw it as I had never seen one like it before, It was also a Landrover item as well, it was fitted to a soft dash 300 tdi auto Rr classic 1994 vintage, it was imported from the Uk and now as a non age related number on it.
  18. There is quiet a bit of stuff to fit for a charge cooler to work (charge cooler, radiator, circulating pump) I am fairly strapped for room under the bonnet (Engine powered hydraulic pump) etc, I can fit this intercooler horiziontally with a ram scoop in the bonnet the intercooler is fairly small about the size of a std l/r intercooler. The pajero cooler comes with the mounting brackets for this mounting too
  19. I have an allard full width intercooler on my tweaked 200tdi, it runs a 300tdi turbo with a boost of 1.3 bar, I was wondering about fitting a second intercooler, I got one from a pajero with an electric fan included, if I fitted this after the main intercooler would I get a benefit? I was thinking along the lines of the RR classic 300 tdi auto which had a secondary intercooler fitted under the main one. any ideas?
  20. I wonder if the truck would have rolled as easily if it were a full bodied 110? I also run a trayback 110 and have rolled it on its side very easily in situations where if there had been sides it might not have rolled? just a thought not a critism
  21. Seems to be an outbreak of these uglies, UGLY2
  22. I am using Lovells made in Australia I am really happy with them
  23. I have always thought there was a bit of "give" in an 8.8 rated bolt where as a 10.8 or a 12.9 tend to shear straight off. I would have no problem with 8.8 on recovery equipment as long as the bolt diameter was big enough.
  24. I used to run two exides for a while in parallel, but found after a while one of the batteries started going down in charge and pull the other down with it, i replaced the faulty one and about a year later the same thing started, I have a hydraulic winch on front so I was not even using the two batteries in anger, I now reverted to a single 120 ah battery and have had no trouble with discharge, or damage. A friend of mine in the marine battery business reckons one big lead battery is better than all the gel types out there.
