  1. We had a truck with a hydraulic Ramsey on it which was very strong, we added another support to the middle of the crossmember in the front and bolted it to the underneath of the winch tray never had an issue with it flexing after that, also made a strong central point for towing/anchoring.
  2. I use wurth ones, pricey but really good. I have tried a good few brands but find these the best value for money.
  3. Cut an input shaft off a knackered gearbox
  4. A friend of mine who is a EMT did a course for us specific to injuries associated with off road and winching, really good and specific to our needs. only thing is we live in a different country

  6. Thanks Jon, it was a pleasure showing you folks around :D
  7. On the plate on my 110 the max front axle weight is 1200 kgs. I put the front of my truck on a weighbridge today and it weighs 1240kg. there is a winch and 35 inch tyres fitted, I was wondering is there a heavy duty axle weight I could upgrade to? Thanks
  8. Hi Andi I live about10 miles from Limerick on the south side if you are looking for the irish experience ( trad music etc) then you should head to County Clare around Doolin on the west coast is really good, the scenery here is really fab too as you are in the Burren. Usually the ferry from Wales to Rosslare is fairly cheap at this time of the year, I suspect you journey is coming in under the Christmas period. so everything is more expensive. If you are over this way let me know and we will organise something, however there are no "lanes" in Ireland like those in the Uk. If you need any more info drop me a pm K thy this the burren
  9. I run an mwm 4.2 6cyl turbo intercooled onto a lt77 in a 110,( 500nm, (350approx bhp)) have to say its the best truck I have ever owned and really Landrover should have considered putting a bigger than 2.5 diesel into their range.Mwm/International will be familar as they brought the modified 2.8 based on the 300 tdi. consider my engine as +1.5 version of the 2.8 :D . I have the same transmission since the conversion which was four years ago. Truck does road and offroad stuff on a regular basis. Truck is running 35 inch tyres and a 1.2 xfer box.
  10. I got one today also, I am well pleased with it, clean cuts on steel, ali, and wood. Whats a fair life for the blade? £90.00! you paid...........it was 130 euro here which equals to £103.00
  11. did anyone look at these ? are they any good? Chop Saw K
  12. Unlock First site I googled, if your model is not here then do a search using your model number, I have freed all the dvd's in our home like this.

  14. Small T shirt and large t shirt for me please they will go nicely under the rugger shirts we got earlier. payment by Paypal? K
  15. Dunno the proper spec, however at the local test center in the opinion of the tester the trucks were fine, Never been challenged by the police either, and the six pot is nice to listen to, on full chat with a SS 3inch pipe running up the back of the cab
  16. I run straight throu exhausts on two machines one a 90 200 tdi and the other 110 4.2 tdi, both have no silencers and comply with local noise regulations. It is better with a turbo to get the exhaust away as fast as possible and back pressure is a no no for turbos.
  17. :D :D :D Shirts arrived today excellent quality on both, thanks a million for everyone's efforts to make this happen
  18. Ifor Williams all the way we bought our first Ifor 14 ft, 15 years ago and its still going strong, we have had a few indespensions but I was never a fan of the axle set up on the indespensions.
  19. We use Case Hytran in our lt 77's I reckon its as good as you can get
  20. Diesel Jim thanks for the photos, beside main dealer who would have the bits ? how big a cooler does the system have and where does it mount? thanks again Right went out and had a look, there is no place to mount this part on my Lt77, anyone know at what suffix this option was available on lt77's?
  21. Have you any photographs of the housing please? thanks, I have looked at a spare lt77 on the groung and on the lhs there are only the filler plug and a large plug at the bottom of the box, I understood the oil was pumped from the gearbox pump through the cooler?
  22. I have a lt77 and 1.2 xfer box fitted behind a 6 cylinder 4.2 MWM tdi. 422ft/lb @1500prm 204hp@3500rpm also running straight through 3" exhaust. It came from M&D Engineering(Anglia). It drives brilliantly and has good fuel economy, however on medium to long runs the gearbox is getting really hot, much hotter than the same type box in a 200tdi. I know it is possible to add a cooler to the R380 but is there any way to cool the lt77?. As the engine is 6 cyl. there is no room to move it forward enough to fit a R380 behind it without major alterations. Any help/suggestions?
