  1. Ahh....you beat me to it! I found it, had a look to see if it was the full setup and then thought about it (no real need for another at the moment). Decided to purchase it for spares but it was gone when I went back in. I did think too that they had no idea what they had.
  2. Yes, it's the EGR diagnostic plug. Wire colours are Black, white/pink and white/light green. If your removing the EGR then it won't matter what you do with it, it has an earth (black) and the other two feed from the EGR ecu.
  3. Here's an "out the box" suggestion....mine developed a ticking noise a while back and it turned out to be the viscous fan unit giving up, it eventually spat the bearings out.
  4. It's a trim difference, should be half leather seats and a leather steering wheel, if it has the cold climate pack it will have heated front screen and heated seats. Also heated rear screen/wash wipe and full central locking.. Alloy wheels as standard, can't really think of anything else...most is standard defender fare.
  5. So it is the later non-heated models with 2 position LEDs in the centre that we bought from Nakatenenga
  6. When I initially fitted my new td5 looms and 10as it would do everything but the interior lights. After much head scratching my 10as needed reprogrammed to activate the interior lights. 20seconds on my mates testbook to highlight some boxes and it worked. If it worked previously then your 10as may have a fault but I'd get them to check the default settings first
  7. The 200tdi measurements are... OD 76mm x78mm ID 66mm x 68mm As you can see the head isn't exactly a perfect circle, hence the different sizes (ok it's only 2mm) The provided dimensions are from the pipe and not the head and taken from the location of where the slots sit on the pipe.
  8. Engine? I think the 300 and td5 have a wider bore than my 200tdi
  9. I've been browsing for a winch to fill the hole on front of my 90 and whilst looking at reviews across a breadth of forums, there are a lot of Jeep and Toyota owners recommending these and they same to be popular in the USA. Anyone on here have/had one of these? Price wise puts the 9.5 model a bit more than a TDS Goldfish with dyneema but significantly less than a Warn zeon with synthetic rope.
  10. I got an indoor cover for my garage ornament from coveryourcar.co.uk Mine is purely indoors but they do a whole range, the fit is perfect so I assume the rest of their range should be good. A few mates have different ones on their cars and were good fits.
  11. I assume you mean the Khan "wide track" kit? Never seen one in the metal (or plastic), it's not cheap...I think the kit supply only is circa £2.5k
  12. Yes pretty similar to your description. I have OE xenon/HID headlights in my other car and find it quite similar to their performance...ie a bit less infill at dusk. I have no issues when its dark as they perform really well. I suppose it's all down to the "colour" they throw out, it is a clean white light.
  13. If the fob is goosed then you may need the EKA code to disarm the system. It would be supplied with the service books and is a series of key turns in the door lock to enter a specific code to tell the alarm ecu to turn off.
  14. LaSalle trim do lift up door cards....not cheap though iirc. I have my original lift handle doors awaiting some TLC so I'll be interested to see any trim repairs.
  15. POR15 paint gets a good review, have a look at Frost auto restoration as they do the range of paints and treatments for stabilising any rust prior to paint. It appears to have had dual batteries installed as the white box is a split charging relay, it may explain the reinforcing bar and extra holes to secure both batteries
  16. An extra pair of hands wouldn't go amiss, apart from that it's relatively straight forward. I've done my front two and centre seat all with exmoor kits. The first seat will take you some time, the second about half as long....I'd recommend some bum-heaters too whilst it's all apart!
  17. Well the ecu is (as it says on it) for your EGR valve...exhaust gas recycling valve fitted to later 300tdi engines for emission control. As for the other wires...the black plug mounted to the front is the for the OBD (on board diagnostic), allows you to programme the 10AS alarm ecu etc. The other multiplugs I have no idea but I'm sure someone with a similar vehicle will be able to enlighten you! The one with the rubber cap could possibly be an auxiliary power feed for a centre cubby if fitted.
  18. Can you not borrow a nav unit or use an app on a smartphone to see how accurate (or not) your existing setup is? Mine is accurate up to about 40 then starts to under read (47 is 50, 56 is 60 etc), once I knew what it's "real speed" was I didn't need to use the gps anymore. My main concern was the large stretches of average speed cameras we have up here.
  19. Nice work, I really need to get myself a new project. Quite fancy a td5 too
  20. Lol, you love bridging stuff out! Brown/blue is the feed to the side/headlight switch , bridge this to blue and that should energise the headlight circuit (terminals 1&4). Power goes from switch blue wire to headlamp relay again blue wire then to flash stalk via blue. From stalk to dim dip relay (blue/red)(if fitted) and then blue/red to the fuse box (fuse22&23)headlights blue/black(RHS) and blue/pink(LHS). The headlight relay is 3rd in from the right if they're still in their original places.
  21. yes the fog lamp ecu gets a live feed from the dipped headlights to know they are "on". Get a decent switch, when mine played up it was the indicator/dip/flash stalk that was goosed.
