  1. my 300tdi 90 saw around 30mpg whilst travelling back down the M1 between Huddersfield and Watford last night. I was very impressed, it had been down on the rest of the trip due to strong head winds and some off roading at Tong, with figures ranging between 18 and 25 between fuel stops.
  2. Definetly not, there's a lot of machining there, and what with the way the materials have shot up I don't doubt that with a bit added on for profit it works out at £100....

  6. pulled a loaded 7.5 tonne truck out of a boggy field with my series 1 transit tipper off an icey road with the 90 30ft mobile home with Series 1 An ifor beavertail loaded with 3 sankeys with the 90.
  7. I've got a bit of query that is bugging me and am interested in what folk think who have fitted this kit. With the radius arm bushes pressed in, there appears (to my mind) to be an issue with the clearance between the inner radius bush tube and the X arm. The tube the bush presses into on the arm is only just narrower than the inner radius bush tube, giving hardly any room for movement of the bush between the radius arm and the axle bracket. I would imagine a clearance of a few mil either side would be necessary. Does this cause problems?
  8. when i spray the windscreen with the washer the wipers, wipe as they should, but they don't park correctly Where has the gremlin got in?
  9. the road near my station was salted, but still had 2" of ice and a further 8" or snow on it.
  10. the crank turns twice for every one revolution of the cam, so yes Cam does go back correctly.

  12. I can't find anything specifically relating to engines, as long as the vehicle uses axles with no lockers or fiddle brakes.
  13. I'm looking (unsuccesfully) for the regulations for AWDC challenge events and how it is determined what class a vehicle competes in. If the vehicle has had a different engine fitted then I'm guessing it enters in the first modified class? Can anyone point me in the right direction? Cheers.

  16. 200Tdi and be kind to it. Di is a waste of time, no better than a good NA from experience.
  17. only 235.85, looking at Gwyn lewis challenge mounts with terra firma 5.5" Did you use the X-eng dislocation springs?
  18. I am going to be fitting my kit soon, I will also fit the X-eng a frame ball joint. I am a bit of loss as to what shocks and mounts i should use? Should I go for an 11" shock and raised monut, will it foul the tub? The vehicle is a 90 with around 1" lift. I'm looking to improve rear axle articulation.
  19. I fear the bloke knows he's done it to himself. Let's all take something from it and not bodge repair stuff and try to prevent this happening ever again.
