Rear tub lifted on for the last time, dark nights suck so a bit pointless to take a photo of it fitted, however the pictures I did take are below

Going to have to purchase some extra long needle nose pliers to make this easier

all rear bolts fitted and tightened up, you can see where I've added rubber gaskets and plastic washers to keep electrolytic action at bay. Rear rubber gaskets do need a slight trim though

Used nyloc nuts because they are longer and should make life easier if tub has to come off, no rusted threads to deal with

It doesn't help when I've got ideas in my head for making the front panel causing me more work but that will be for later or never if my tinkering does not pan out how I want it to but as I've said before nothing ventured nothing gained

If anyone remembers this well my tinkering has come to fruition of sorts follow the pictures and have a wee guess at where I'm going with this

Bonnet vent punch?

It is a two-part punch, I assume? Difficult to get the scale, for all I know that could be a 1" chuck and a 4ft lathe....

Ooh, rear light grilles?

Your certainly on the right track, it will be used as a punch for what I'm trying to achieve regards Stephen

Obviously I will need to punch a lot more holes ( think I'd best temper dies first ) this was just a trial run to see if it was doable, will also need to sort out alignment and spacing. The finished front rad panel will as far as possible be made out of a single sheet of aluminium which is why I am exploring making the mesh holes instead of a steel mesh grill, bit to do yet though regards Stephen
