Anderzander
Have a fabulous time ! Daft question .. are all the officials you pass ok with the old style GB badge ? I’d rather get a GB badge for my 80” than UK sticker …

We have a little UK badge the other side now, but honestly no-one has ever cared a single jot whether there's a sticker or not - I've been abroad plenty in cars with no sticker too. 1

TBF travelling with @miketomcat and @TSD through Germany we got pulled purely because they had no idea what a Tomcat and an Ibex were In the land where it's considered dangerously crazy to put the wrong brand of tyres on your BMW, telling a cop you built the whole car in your shed is good for a laugh
Peaklander
Many moons ago I was pulled over (daytime) at a police check in France. We were driving a Fiat 850 sport coupé and the front wing was so rusty that the headlamp had lost its grip. I had rescued it and it was in the ‘boot’. I thought that it would be ‘bad’. I was only 19, with my girlfriend and been away for a month. The police couldn’t have been nicer. The only reason they had pulled us was to tell us the headlamp was missing. I've always had a nice feeling about that encounter.
