FridgeFreezer
GKN & Hardy Spicer should be good, genuine parts should be good (will probably GKN or HS anyway). Stay away from cheapo unbranded / own-brand / britpart etc. and you should be fine.
Simon Smith
Last Hardy Spicer ones I bought had GKN stamped on them anyway! But they do two grades standard and heavy duty, I always get the heavy duty ones as they appear to have better seals.

Les Henson
GKN now own Hardy Spicer (or is it the other way round?) They are a good quality part and I always use them. Expect to pay around £15-20 for one. Les.
Bull Bar Cowboy
I always use GKN ..................... they are just under £10 trade (IIRC £9.85) .............. interestingly the wider one comes with long nipples as std, the short one has a std nipple but is easier to grease with the longer nipple, but replace it with the shorter nipple after greasing .......... I enjoying typing that sentence Ian
Defender
Hi Dougstar, As I think someone already mentioned the manufacturers do different grades of joints & I think it is to do with the seals on the cups more than anything. My advice would be to spend as much as you can on GKN & get the one's with the metal seals, if you want some advice & someone who can supply the correct one's Gwyn Lewis is an excellent person to talk to! (I have no association with or make any money out of that statement etc) Website here. P.S. Any piccies for me yet (No rush just thought I'd ask while I was here)? GBMUD
Beware of imitations. There are some imitation HS ones doing the rounds. Same colour box and similar logo but without the HS name on the box. Chris
JST
i need a bigger screen to read Dougstars font! from the others answers i guess you want info on which ones. Hardy Splicer get my vote.
Old Spot
If you go to an agricultural machinery dealer they should be able to supply you with UJs used for PTOs., these are loads better as they have a metal lip over the rubber seal which means they dont get so damaged. Mo Murphy
Whatever you do, don't buy the cheese ones from Paddocks, the 4 for the price of 3 ones. If you off road their life is extrodinarily short ! Mo

Repaced with hardy's on a cold wet and windy day.
