SimonPearson
HA HA!!!! That's me! I know Darren well but he doesn't know my eBay ID so I sent him a numpty question as a wind-up... and yes, he responded! Suggestion to all LR4x4.com wind-up merchants: send him complete numpty questions on eBay such as: "Can I lower the suspension on this and will it affect my insurance?" "Do you have any door tops to go with the car?" "How does this differ from a TD5 90 - I hear they are rather good and yours seems older but more expensive?" And my favourite: "I have a strict budget of £26,000 - what is your 'buy it now' price?"

SteveG
Personally I'm surprised that the reserve was so high. I would have thought that a bid of ~14K would be good. You can't expect to recoup all of the costs put in. I reckon this 90 has about 8-9K of extras added, so that leaves 5-6K for base hybrid and labour. That's not bad going in my opinion. Tim you got a bargain. Add a cage, rear 8274 and new cross member/winch mount (about 2K +fitting) and you have a set up as good, actually better with 3-Link!
