Rich_P
Or just admit you want some and that's it. It's not like you won't have hazard lights as standard on your motor is it?
L19MUD
I have something similar to these . . . http://www.able2products.com/Update/11_3705_v1.htm The ones I have are mounted on the standard land rover light guards, mounted using double sided tape (car trim tape) on the slat below the headlight so that it does not affect the headlight pattern. Mine are about 3 inches long and about an inch wide. They are black with clear led's that flash orange. They are barely noticable unless you know they are there, but when you turn them on you can see them for miles! I think they were only about £50 for the kit and can be set to various flashing strobe patterns. I have used them on numerous occasions - escorting combines (main reason for fitting them), parked in an awkward place when loading up cars/diggers/etc on the road, and have also used them when recovering a car from a ditch for the police. They dont look bling (as you cant really see them) but they do serve a purpose!!
JeffR
As I occaisionally work in roadside ditches, I adopted the subtle approach by fitting a full set of NAS lights, plus the addition of high level LED NAS Indicators and Sopt Tail lights, as you can see, they work in Daylight. In the dark they are REALLY visible form a couple of miles away, according to the AA man>
Gromit
plus the addition of high level LED NAS Indicators and Sopt Tail lights, They look good. Can you get the LEDs to strobe? (without injuring yourself ) Edited August 10, 2010 by Gromit

western
You've been driven into? had a few 'near miss' from other marshals travelling out of stage the wrong direction, standard practice & mormally reinforced by the radio controller, is a message like --- all traffic must travel out of stage in stage direction & be aware recovery units may be at work, so stop & wait until the crew chief allows traffic past when it's safe to do so. western
Don't forget your rigger boots if you're using amber beacons there bloody horible to work in, proper steel toecapped work boots with laces are much safer.
errol209
there bloody horible to work in, proper steel toecapped work boots with laces are much safer. Riggers are such a poor fit, give no ankle support and don't come with suitable steel midsoles etc. so they're banned on the (Network Rail) railway. I don't understand how anyone could rate them! Mo Murphy
It was a joke chaps Those with a multitude of beacons also wear rigger boots, a jovial generalisation, if you like
NicTheOrange90
Despite having been briefed on how and when to use the ambers, she didn't find the switch and was rear-ended at about 50mph. I'm convinced the accident wouldn't have happened if the ambers had been switched on. We are not allowed to stop vehicles on motorways in Kent unless its an emergency (have to escort them off at next junction /safe place), the amount of vehicles that are rear ended even with blue stobe lights and red strobe lights is just not funny, I know people react strangely when they see blue lights, but the amount of drivers who go too fast and dont leave enough space or just drive like numpties never fails to amaze me. If you decide to stop to assist at a breakdown, please please dont turn your back on the oncoming traffic, I know this is off topic, but just because you have a hi-vis and flashing lights does not mean you wont get into a stickier situation than when Sticky the stick insect got himself into a sticky situation !
