Challo
You should be fine at Forresters, run by nice folk who have a sense of humour. Foods good, Tetleys amazing. Nice selection of about 5 pubs within 150 yards of doorstep. Don't know what rooms are like tho. I will try and get over on Sunday for the day. Just depends if I can get all brake pipes done on the Saturday as that's only chance I have to do em before MOT. Cheers Chris
steve200TDi
Hi, I'll have to retracked my previous statement and bail on this one as now the galvanising is back I want to get on and progress with the TD5 and it's a very long way to Yorkshire. I will look forward to going green laning next year in the TD5 Have fun! Steve

V8 Freak
Wow... Looks like a mornings worth of lanes available if that !! How about Dartmoor or the Exeter area.. Oooh.. I'll be down that way on those dates !
GBMUD
There are plenty of lanes outside the NP close enough fortunately. Not many lanes on Dartmoor either! You might see some more in the Totnes, Torbay areas. Look out for overgrowth though. Chris
mickeyw
I drove the Dartmoor lanes 10 years ago. They are VERY narrow many of them. Zuks were OK, Landies rather tight (I had to climb out of my sunroof on one track), and the TLC was left parked at the end of the lane for later collection Exmoor was really good too, but NERC has put almost all of that out of reach
GBMUD
So, the smallest forum trip ever. Perhaps LR4x4 is no longer the place for social green lane groups. Me Dalai Lama Battwig Dirty Diesel ...of course, it makes group choices easy. Chris
mickeyw
Chris, please do not think that. I was all for coming, but we are already on holiday this week (it's half term ya know). So in my case it is all down to the choice of date, and I think that it the also the reason for Mr Turbocharger. I hope you have an enjoyable weekend of driving despite the low turnout. Hope I'll be able to make the next one.

Retroanaconda
If diesel wasn't £1.50 a litre I'd be there. Just can't afford the travel I'm afraid. Happy to sleep rough in the car overnight but there's no avoiding the drive there/back!

dirtydiesel
Great weekend with great company. Day one saw some really long lanes, with a bit of snow in the morning some guys training birds of prey on the moors Day 2 was a short one with a few muddy lanes, and a very foggy start.
