Very extended damper mounts

4 or 5"??

:o

(gulp)

I recently some clever mounts advertised in the US rags. The actual shock mount swivels. When you start getting very long travel flexy suspension, the stresses on the shock mount can be pretty serious as the lower mount cycles with the axle. I think I also saw something similar from Devon 4x4 ? Sorry, this doesn't answer your extended mount question, just adds to the complexity...

Yep, Devon do them but they're not cheap! Here

Jim - now that is the first good idea i have heard you come up with.

it wont be that much out with the G and T box there as well, plus you can always rest your arm on it to fine tune the balance!

any thoughts on 7S yet?

james- 7S is looking quite hopeful at the moment- the in-laws are coming down so I will need to get away. you going up friday morning?

Dave- probably going to be using Pro-comps, but it depends what lengths i will need. Am buying shocks after i have sorted out spring rates, and damper mounts- am leaving it all as late as possible so that i can buy springs suitable for axle weights. (in the meantime i have some super saggy orange ones!)
