Dieselspanner
Hi All I ordered some spares from 4Most4x4, in Gloucestershire, last summer, to be delivered to France. Due to no fault of 4Most4x4 they failed to arrive, I changed the order, as the door skin missed the slot for the respray and the second order got lost too! After much tooing and froing, the spare wheel carrier, ordered to arrive at a UK address prior to Christmas, failed as well. 4Most4x4 have answered my emails, returned most of my phone calls and come up with several reasons why my £230 has not been returned. I'm still waiting. So, is this a reputable outfit or should I kiss my money goodbye? All help, advice, comments etc. welcome. Cheers Stef
Happyoldgit
Welcome to LR4x4. We are usually a bit wary of people using first posts to highlight issues or grievances with this or that commercial enterprise but that aside I have approved your post. Please note that your posts have to be approved by a moderator before they appear to the public - so no need to submit things more than once
ejparrott
Have they proof of postage? Must admit, it's not a company I've heard of before
daveturnbull
I'd never heard of them either so did a quick google of '4Most4x4'. Have a look for yourself at the other forum threads that pop up, should tell you all you need to know.
Eightpot
There is some protection offered by the new distance selling regulations - if no delivery timescale was specified, you can by law claim a full refund after 30 days has elapsed and nothing has been received, regardless of whether it was 'lost in post'. I suggest you remind them of this before taking further legal action. No doubt some unscrupulous outfits pretend to fulfil an order then hope you'll forget all about it and leave them with the cash - I'm sure these guys would never do that, probably just need reminding. Again.
Dieselspanner
Hi Guys Thanks for the support, I didn't mean to submit the post twice, fat fingers and dodgy knuckles caused by a lifetime of slipping spanners! The grievance I can live with, I wondered if they were 'At it' on a wider scale and if other members were aware. Cheers Stefan

Dieselspanner
So I took Daveturnbulls advice and a quick look around Google don't fill me with a lot of hope! After the first hiccup I persevered with the company, he'd obviously lost out when TNT failed to deliver and I didn't want him punished for something beyond his control. No good deed goes unpunished! Can anyone reccomend any of the smaller operators that have proved trustworthy for Expats? Cheers Stef.
Eightpot
Yeah but they don't lose out if TNT fails to deliver, they get compensated for the full cost of goods. That's if..ahem..they were collected..
taurion
I live in the backwoods of La Creuse (23) and regularly buy from the UK. In nearly 15 years I have never had an order lost ( here's to tempting fate). In that time I think all the carriers out of the UK will have delivered to me. 24 hr delivery is the same speed as 3-5 day delivery. One item took 3 weeks because the sender had written the wrong postcode by mistake. My experience in France ....... good luck with your refund. Arjan
Living in France for a long time now we've had oour fun with the various sellers and suppliers. We've been using Causeway4x4 for the last few years and they've been very good. No flashy sites, just tell them what you need and they'll tell you. Shipping can be done how you want. Transport goes wrong sometimes and that is when you learn the good and the less good ones. You don't need worries about the seller on top of that.. I go over every year a few times and combine those trip with stocking up. Also, long suffering friends in Emsworth are the Arjan 's Post Office and warehouse for me and that works very well. In fact, 1 item we got was cheaper to go over, get it ouselves than buying it here around the corner... Good luck.
Dieselspanner
Hi All So on a whim I phoned Land Rover Monthly and enquired if they would print a letter detailing my woes, should I send one in. I didn't really expect them to compromise their relationship with a company that takes out a full page advert, but thought I'd ask the question. A very nice lady from the Ad department, Gemma said she thought not, but would give 4most4x4 a ring just to check. Half an hour later I had an email from 4most, with an attachment showing details of an undated bank transfer. On checking my account there was a transfer for the full amount dated today! The email said the money was sent 'Quite a while ago' I'm sure it was a coincidence. Anyway, thanks to to all for the help, support and good ideas from all concerned. Cheers Stef
