stephencdavies
Your right the others look fine from where i'm sitting ( 465 miles away ) the little ones worth changing , if you have some old but good condition hose lying around you could cut a piece from that. i never throw old hoses away. a small piece always comes in handy. new jubilee bands too.

Maverik
Actually nice to see someone not whipping the engine out and throwing in a tdi, interesting story though some good lessons.

Popular Post DC_
Yes it's celebrations but sad the saga is over !! I'm sure there will be plenty more in the up and coming hours, eh I mean years...... Can't thank you guys enough for keeping our spirits high and ideas coming. If this helps someone in the future it's well worth all the effort..... I'd like to thank my friends and family for standing by me....... Hahaha... Sorry couldn't resist !! I actually really like this engine and my New addition (end of June) as it really is solely for enjoyment. No rush to go anywhere just take our time and hopefully have great memories. We are heading out on Monday to Glencoe in Scotland and hopefully further north during the week. First expedition....... Wish us luck !!
Kevm
As it is ex-military and knowing the saying "if it doesn't move paint it, if it moves salute it" then surely they should have saluted that fan and not painted it? Good job DC. nice to see it back together, did you have to drive the new pulley on or did it slip on? I should be getting all the bits to do mine on Mon. DC_
Kevm after I cleaned the shaft with 240 sand paper (finest I had) little copperslip on it, the damper slid on a treat. Just marked where the key was on the dust seal and lined it up. Good luck with doing yours ! Thanks peaklander, I'm the one in the family with the patients apparently
