I think we may be digressing from the original question.....
But... :-) it's how much value you attach to the benefits it brings that determines whether its expensive to you.
I would 'quite like one' to help with the low down torque curve when coming off tick over. £1k is too much for that when I have higher priorities for that money..
However, if my turbo went, and having seen second hand ones be duff ... I'd be considering the costs already subsidised by the price of a reconditioned one.

Out of stock there - but the V8 ones exit through the wing top vent.
I may have missed it ....... But, its worth considering how good the chassis is now and what else needs doing.
My 2000 Td5 90 is a keeper but, apart from the cross member, the chassis is excellent. There has also been a list of other jobs to do and money going into them.
So whilst its my intention to fit one - it will come further down the line.
For more oomph get it remapped at somewhere like Bell Auto Services.
For mechanical sympathy remove the EGR - all that junk going into the inlet can't be a good thing.
I seem to remember that someone shared a supplier of Eberspachers on here a couple of years ago .... Where they were sure to work and at a fair price ....... But I can't remember who it was, who the supplier was, or when ....... Nor can I find it through searching .....
Can anyone help please ?
Gwyns are excellent - they get my vote. Easily fitted with all wings in place.
The material is a good thickness and plenty strong enough when you see it in the flesh so to speak.
An RAF chap who did the wiring in tornados told me (when discussing soldered wires) they worked on the principle of 0.1v dropped for every soldered joint.
I wonder what 15 scotchloks are ?
Not sure if this is answerable ... But how does it sound ?
My original isn't in great shape and when it comes to replace it I may get one. Is it loud ?
As we speak the 90 is out the back with a rotten cross member cut off and a new one ready to go on..... Just as soon as the unexpected rot behind the crossmember is re fabricated.
Once done I will love to hit the lanes with you again - it's way over due :-)
