  1. i would just put them in , don't think they put them on at mox torque could be the nuts are there to hold the halves together when machining.
  2. my 3 door 110 200tdi , 5 toyo's 255/85-16 on wolf rim's, aluminium roofrack , winchbumper and winch . and half of my camping gear . 2250kg
  3. i would give it a try with a alternative fuel source , small container with fuel rigged up to the heater , and see if that works
  4. they are more or less the same pump , the G at the end of the partnumber make's it the genuine parts manufacterur, most of the time this is the better choice .
  5. i think we have the same parts manual 🙂 so i gues there the same between 200/300 ..
  6. hello all , i can't seem to find the partnumbers for the radiator/intercooler frame , 4 parts (top-bottom-left-right) for a 200tdi defender , i can find the partnumbers for a 300tdi , but not to shure if these are the same . aftermarket one's like alisport list the same frame for both versions .... if the 300tdi ones fit also , it widens my search area ..
  7. no problem , thanks for looking . and good luck recovering !
  8. is that the same size as the Landrover tool ?
  9. send a e-mail to dingocroft , lets see if there willing to share the secret 😉 in the meantime i printed the foto of the part , measured from the foto and compered with actual measurments, and calculated it's real world size , this seems to be around 55mm diameter .
  10. i seem to remember that this fault was composed by the compressor not working properly , not sure , but maybee worth looking at .
  11. that's why i use a very sharo one , and use the drill press
  12. a stepped drill works wonders on plastic , i use it to make shims for the Eurover project.
  13. hello all , does anybody know the size of the thickest piece on this mandrell (used for setting up the LT230 transfercase . the thin part is "just" a piece of gearbox output shaft . or is somebody good at 'gestimating' the size's from the picture below ? picture is from : https://www.dingocroft.co.uk/acatalog/Input-Gear-Turning-Mandrel-LRT_41_005.html
  14. 6mm is the outside diameter , with a wall thicknes of 1 (hence the 6x1 size) you end up with 4mm inside ... maybee just tight enough to fit over the little bulge in the spill rail.
  15. i could do with a discovery 200tdi timing gear casting (the part that bolts to the engine and houses the timing gear) but postage would probable kill this idea ...
  16. did the 101 came with parabolic springs from the factory ?
  17. i work with HGV's and these use a lot off parabolic springs , i hardly ever see plastic spacers in use . in the middle where the leafs touch each other and the strops are placed , there's normally a steel spacer (i wouldn't use plastic here because this will get compressed and cause the strops to get loose). at the end of the leave's there's normaly a rubber or plastic "slipper" pad , these are the only place's paraballics touch each other .
  18. i would say : cilinderheads (altough i've read somewhere that a 300tdi can be made to work) , injectors en injectionpump , timing gear (belts and pulleys) , thermostat housing for the defender spec engine (already very hard to find) , front cover for the timing gear. and get a replacement engine as complete as you can get it . (and rebuilt it before storing for the long term)
  19. from a quick google search , the classic line "should" be better quality as the green box stuf .... (so no idea why it's cheaper ...)
  20. i would take the springs apart , clean and paint , then put them together with some normal grease between the leafs (where they touch).
