  1. I need to start gathering components for wiring up MogLite. What I'd like is to run a big fat cable into a fuse-box and get maybe 8-10 fused circuits out Going trough a separate bus-bar seems messy, as does pulling a load of wires off of the positive terminal on the battery. Anyone got a neat solution to this ?
  2. There was ali chequerplate tank at Billing - looked quite whizzy If you do go guard, you have to ensure stones cannot get between the tank and the guard, or they will grind holes in the bottom of the tank. My CT Disco had a big foam thingy between the tank and the guard.
  3. With your affinity for water - can't be a bad thing. I've often wondered how water tight my fuel cap is
  4. Nige Polybushes tend to break up quite quickly, but rubber will degrade more gently. I've gone back to rubber, as they are more forgiving of big articulation. I've got a pair of adjustable trailing arms in my garage with rosejoints after the chassis bush - you might have seen them. They aren't particularly overgineered in tube sizes, the roses are worn, and I'm just about to cut them for MogLite, but I could be persuaded to change my mind.......... Andy
  5. ISTR mine were 125-130 each. But that was years okay, I had one of the first sets in the country - still going strong, but will virtually no road mileage.
  6. From the BAE open day on Saturday Supposed to be a nice little course (built by Lovers and Fruity), unfortunately it got chewed up by the J33p club, with too much power and no grip. Some of the public got a wilder ride than maybe they expected
  7. I've not thought about searching for /that/ kind of video on a P2P network. What client do you use ? Tuff Trucks 2005 as Ali said is one of the best from Australia, I've got some other Aus stuff that is pretty good too. Ladoga 2004 from Dollythelw is pretty mad too, better if you can understand Russian. Rain Forest Challenge stuff is okay Camel stuff is still good, but its all about smashing a convoy through. I think I've got Hammer Down II, but I don't remember that or the first one being outstanding. Monster Garage on Discovery always makes me laugh, and my boy loves it. I've got Series II as avi's but not watched them yet. Icelandic stuff never fails to impress
  8. Haven't Ashcroft just re-released their crawler box. That will give you some competition
  9. I've got a SIP 170 pro or whatever its called. It will do up to 8mm plate acording to the instructions, if you plan on doing a cage you'll need to do 6mm plate, so that works about right. A good gas - argoshield, makes the welder much more efficient. I can't run mine flat in the garage, because it trips the 15amp breakers, I need to run a fat extension cable to a 30 amp ring !!
  10. Can I have "King of Bling" back. Kinda appropriate as I've spent the last few evening valeting the Ibex !!
  11. Have you got any of that spare ? About 120cm would make an awesome track rod for MogLite
  12. I've got one of the "Red" pulley blocks, but its the smaller 2 tonne model, and is therefore a bit small for 12/13mm plasma Anyone tried one of these eBay
  13. LOL... My grandad said it to me many years ago... something tells me he may have been lossing his marbles at that point! It was your spelling of diesel I was talking about
  14. I knew that would come, but damn that was quick. v8Bertha looks like he could be in with a shot at Scrabble, judging by his signature
  15. Nigel's 90 on a weighbridge Bathtub Pete in a Suzuki Will Warne at the top of a tricky steep climb Post up
  16. Thanks for the replies - appreciated. The Rangie is parked outside my study, which has a NetGear wireless router in it !! So I've fully charged the battery, and parked it down the road - we'll see how it get on. Here the RangeRovers.net article for completeness
  17. Do you need to look further than ProComp 9000's ? Cheap and gas, perfect if you are at the experimental stage. I've used Rancho RS9012's good travel at 14", but only oil
  18. Our 1998 p38a discharges its battery over a 24hour ish period Its a new battery, and I've also seen the same symptoms with a known good battery. I know the alternator is charging, but thats irrelevant, as a full charged battery will get flattened without moving the car. I've got a good meter, with a current clamp, and I can see a couple of amps coming out of the battery, but thats with the bonnet open and the doors open, so there will be some current draw for these. Any clues how I can narrow it down further ? Or what the culprit maybe ? I'm guessing its a case of pulling fuses
  19. I think you'd struggle with hi-lo and it does need some persuaion sometime. If you could do hi - neutral - lo, you'd have a fighting chance. Cylinders that are air tight are automatically water/grit tight Would work quite well for difflock, but I'm not sure if you've got that I need the shifters from an LT230 - so let me have your spares
  20. Heated screen and possibly seats - 'cause I know you are soft
  21. Sounds perfect. Let me know what you want for them. Come on down and have a look at what I'm upto. Mog axles are fun B)
  22. Good effort there - many hands make light work
  23. I need a pair of 14" Pro-Comp gas shocks for the back of MogLite. Anyone know who's got the best mail order price ?
  24. Nige I've always heard good things about these Hell Roaring I've never got round to ordering one, as with a diesel/auto in the Ibex, it never stalls and just runs all day.
