  1. Really Bish old boy ? Surely one sends one's staff to complete such an onerous task ? Mo
  2. ... but you haven't driven any yourself, Stephen ? Mo
  3. Sure it is providing you have the permission of the local mayor. Fine for organised tours with the time and funding to organise prior to not so good for a small group looking for a journey. I understand it is a bit easier in the North of the country but if I'm going abroad I prefer to go south away from UK type weather 🤣 Mo
  4. Ask in the wanted section if anyone has a good original battery tray that they have removed to fit a double one ? Mo
  5. Shame Pat, France is pretty carp for laning. Spain and Portugal on the other hand are fantastic for it. Mo
  6. Or better still, chuck the water holding carpets. They have no place in a Land Rover of any kind 😬 Mo
  7. Things have been going to hell in a handcart for a long time now. I only have to recall Strata Florida when I first drove it in 1995 to last years foray to see the decline. That's why I love our foreign laning trips; far from the chav off roaders, gentle lanes, no damage to lane or truck, coffee and relaxation. The only challenges in the terrain caused by snow melt run off, not 40" mud monster tyres. Roll on September 😊 Mo
  8. This is one of the hazards of barge ownership! Mo
  9. The boost ring advances the fuel timing at higher revs to give a longer burn time. They work well in my experience, though I find it makes the engine smoother rather than noticeably more powerful. Maybe that's the same thing, I don't know 😁 Mo
  10. More of the same as last year, and the year before that and the year before that ... Mo
  11. There can't be that many using the telescopic filler surely ? They stopped fitting them a long time ago on civvy vehicles. Could the cover not slide sideways ? The filling aperture could stay the same size then. Mo
  12. If this is aimed at me, I'm afraid I don't understand your point. Sorry Mo
  13. Hmm they're not illegal on a pre 1986 vehicle and do not need to be removed for the MOT. Mo
  14. Mine are installed legally in my pre 1986 vehicle. My lights are properly installed, adjusted and the bulbs are designed to be used with normal headlamps. I don't get flashed in the 90 but I do in my new SEAT with headlamps on. But what do I know, I've only got some actual experience of them rather than reading what somebody else wrote 😁 Mo
  15. Why would motorists be blinded by led bulbs ? Mo
  16. I doesn't need to have a purpose to sell, it just needs to be shiny and have a perceived purpose. But dirt and dust get in the cap lock and diesel dribbles in the opening attract dirt. Fuel filler covers that look like your handle cover would appeal due to being slidey and not having primitive hinges and locks. I'd like one but I've never seen one I like. Look at all the billet door hinges available, most have no better function than the original except for being more expensive but are more visually appealing. Food for thought perhaps ? Mo
  17. If you really want to sell stuff, make one for the fuel filler Mo
  18. It IS powered by an old Disco 200 Tdi though ! Perfect for those traffic light hot rod challenges ... Mo
  19. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all ! Mo
  20. I've never understood the appeal of the 19J engine to some people 🤯 Mo
  21. If you drive it rather than posting it you'll save a lot of money. HTH Mo
  22. Mav, did your aftermarket fuel pin have a groove in it despite coming with a hardening certificate ? Mo
