  5. Nick, yours looks a neat and tidy job Mickeys Freelander lamp looks good too ! Mo
  6. I have always found taking your car to quikfit and others of the same ilk akin to parking your car in the chimps cage at London Zoo Mo
  7. No problem Andy However the latest 110 rear axles of the P38 type are 4 pin. Just to confuse Mo
  8. :hysterical: JB, your repair guy has a talent for comedy
  9. JB, The tyres will fit fine You will, however need to change the speedo drive to get the correct speedo reading, a simple and cheap job Both tyre brands are good quality and each have their own fan base, the BFGs being particularly renowned for their longevity. HTH Mo
  10. No, it's a 2 pin diff like the earlier 10 spline. The difference is in the spline count for the half shafts only, the 24 spline half shaft being stronger by virtue of increased contact area and an increase in minimum diameter of the half shaft due to smaller, more numerous splines. HTH Mo
  11. Bought a set like this from ebay. A good useful set for interior screws. HTH Mo
  12. I've only used the Mudstuff centre console myself. Was easy to fit, robust and importantly for me looked OE, there was certainly no rattling or cracking. I can't recommend it highly enough. Really good kit. Mo
  13. Is that a bit of bush tech then, Jinx ? Mo
  14. IIRC the Land Rover standard door glass ones fit to two threaded studs which have sticky pads to fix to the door. Perhaps Uncle Ralph can help with part numbers and perhaps a diagram ? Mo
  15. Quite right reb, I stand corrected, must read more carefully.
  16. Your bottom is a far better gauge of your angle on a side slope Mo
  17. No idea what mine has really done but my speedo says 0 Mo
  18. Perhaps white doesn't look quite so bad after all Mo
  19. Thats the intercooler pipework Paul, some oil there is normal as the crankcase breather vents into the inlet system and inevitably some oil finds its way through too. The "radiator", if its smaller and silver is the intercooler. HTH Mo
  20. I bought a Britpart 300 Tdi rear crank seal, pulled the engine out, fitted the seal, replaced the engine and the bloody thing leaked worse than the one I had taken out !! The next morning (the day of a forum trip to Wales) and after my night shift, I had to pull the engine out again and fit a genuine one that Stu had managed to find whilst roaming around in his AA van Over the last couple of years I've come to the conclusion that Britpart are even more carp than the old "county" brand carp. At least County never pretended they made good bits Mo
  21. Sharpy, the knackered engine is a 200 isn't it ? If it's a disco 200 then it'll be a straight swap. If it's a defender 200 then you might want to swap the manifolds etc. over to your new engine. Mo
