  1. Time for a new steering damper, methinks. Mo
  2. I have this one, works and fits fine although as above it is a little close to the bulkhead. HTH Mo
  3. I'd get another Tdi, if it were me HTH Mo ... and I'd get those nasty, weeping boils seen by a doctor if I were you
  4. Try substituting the hazard flasher switch for another. Mo
  5. Clear silicone sealant in the gap, does the trick Mo
  6. 9 out of 10 problems with both headlights out are caused by a duff headlight switch. Mo
  7. When I built my drawer, I built a brew table to fit under it sliding in and out on kitchen drawer sliders, usable with the drawer in or out. It worked very well indeed Mo
  8. What year are the axle components on your 90, Paul ? Mo
  9. As Ralph has said, a good thick layer of ptfe tape, wound on in the correct direction (if it's in the wrong direction you'll leave it all on the outside ) Having said that, a leaky filler usually just dribbles down the diff pan. Check that oil isn't leaking from the diff input seal in the diff nose behind the drive flange that the prop bolts to. This is the more likely cause of oil spots on the back door. HTH Mo
  10. Ok, so if I wanted to fit vented discs to my 1984 90 with an original unvented disc axle, which calipers would I need assuming, as I am, that the hubs would be imperial ? Perhaps they'd be metric by 1984 ? Lets use Paddocks front brake page as a common reference point for simplicitys sake Mo
  11. It looks a very neat unit, I wonder how much it would cost ? Mo
  12. You will need the inside frame of the door from which you removed the old skin panel. If this is beyond repair you will need to buy a bare door assembly and then swap all your trim parts on to it. HTH Mo
  13. Yup, a straight forward job, even I've managed to remove and replace it Mo
  14. Bish, I removed the polybush set from my last 90 after 4 years and saw nothing like what you describe !!!! Did you fit the polybushes originally ? Mo
  15. Sort your clutch pedal adjustment out too, it won't be helping. HTH Mo
  16. What a good idea ! Go for it Richard I'm keen to see the results Mo
  17. Billing Expect almost everyone else to have a different opinion. Mo
  18. Not that I can think of, things changed slightly only with the introduction of the TD5 2002 bulkhead so you'll be fine Mo
  19. If the captive nuts are spinning, use a grinder to cut through the hinge at an angle and cut the head off the bolt. The hinge will be scrap but then if it's been on there long enough for the nut/bolt to rust together then it's probably shagged anyway. HTH Mo
  20. Like the others above ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Genuine or superpro Mo
  21. Get an X-Fan thermostat and a diesel mondeo fan. I had a Kenlowe once, the "open to the elements thermostat" filled with mud and died. What a waste of money on a vehicle that's going to play in the mud. Mo
  22. Although it's possible through the ashtray hole, just, I found it easier to take the dash top off in the end. Mo
