  1. Surely any 110 rims will do the job, after all the factory fit 235s as standard to them. Shouldn't be too hard to find a set of 110 rims and they'll be a darn sight cheaper than 1 ton rims. Mo
  2. Don't get the cheese wheel bearings Mav, get the OEM Timken bearings HTH Mo
  3. No it's a cast ally block thats held on by 3 bolts on the inside. HTH Mo
  4. If you wire a voltmeter directly to the battery, will it flatten the battery if left for a while ? Mo
  5. I'm using a 90 TD5 chassis with my 200 lump luckily for me though I'm using an LT77 box so I can use 2.5 petrol bolt on engine mounts (LR caught on to this one though and they are £60 each now !!!!!!!!!). If you are using the R380 then you'll have to weld new engine mounts and use the TD5 110 plastic tank with a 300 Tdi ROW fuel pick up. Do a search on here for the part numbers. HTH Mo
  6. I'm using a 2005 type servo and master cylinder. I'll go for it and be damned, if the hubs are common then the hole pitch will be the same and the bolt thread SHOULD be the same. Do vented discs make much of a difference ? much obliged chaps Mo
  7. Thanks Gents, Yup, I've got a couple of posts in that thread Maverik Thing is that I'm ready to buy now and I need to find out if they will fit to avoid a costly mistake I've thought about going down the vented route but I don't suppose it's really necessary. So I just want to find out if I can simply replace my 90 items with 110 calipers of the same year. Mo
  8. I have pre '86 hubs on my 90. I'm going to buy new front calipers, could I buy 110 calipers instead of the 90 items ? The reason I ask is that 110 items are nearly 30 quid an item cheaper ! IIRC 110 calipers have larger pistons, I assume that this will improve braking performance ? Cheers Mo
  9. There's always someone out there Perhaps it's pitched at the yanks ? Mo
  10. I think Ian's got a 2 1/4 diesel in it now
  11. Good luck bangbang, looks like you've got your work cut there Mo
  12. I give mine a real good dosing of 3-in-1 oil which seems to last better than the wd40 I used to use. HTH Mo
  13. Like wheel bearings and UJs, the column UJs should be a regular maintenance job. All part of the joys of Land Rover ownership Mo
  14. Open the windows and the vent flaps Marco, it's much cheaper Mo
  15. As Jad says, with the engine as far forward as it will go, the gearstick will come out through the seatbox if you use the discovery item. HTH Mo
  16. Stick the pics up on here please, Briarston, I'm curious to see how you've done it too. Cheers Mo
  17. When I was researching changeover valves ISTR that the problems with pollack valves seem to have been with ebay bought copies sold as originals. If bought from a reputable supplier I shouldn't imagine you'd have too many problems. HTH Mo
  18. Good luck, a Q plate is nothing to worry about and it looks like you got yourself a bargain even if you do have to wait to get it sorted Mo
  19. You can buy a forked tool from most motor factors for removing trim studs. Mo
  20. More than welcome, old boy Nice to see I'm not the only one that has to learn everything the hard way
  21. Perhaps we need a Trabant forum ? I think the term expedition truck is a bit of a misnomer since most go no further than Billing Mo
  22. I'm not going to bother with the new 90, they cost a fortune, are very attractive to tea leaves and hardly get used unless you do winch comps. Mo
