  1. Cheers for the photo Western, great help, i've taken off the linkage and diff lever, found a diff arm for about 6 squid, bargin.
  2. This is what is on the LT77 at the moment, so do I have to get all the linkage parts that you've included in the diagram? can I use the lever mechanism (the actual selecter plate etc, that I have presently? and whats on the new box. cheers
  3. I've actually got a new transfer box too, but thats not the problem, the problem is the diff lock linkage, pivots on a brackets that is bolted to the gearbox houseing, its an old early model LT77, pic to follow. On the R380 I have it doesn't have the holes for the bracket.
  4. I have a shiney new Short bell house R380 all ready to go in my truck, now I read somewhere that the transferbox diff lock mechanism would fit off my LT77 and that is quite correct. Now I've got the parts manual open in front of me and I haven't a scooby which new linkages I need, anyone got any pointers? cheers
  5. That woul be usefull. Does anyone know anywhere else I can get these from, after you've added VAT and postage it getting on for 50 squid... bit pricey...
  6. Oooooo thats what I need!!! where do I purchase them from?
  7. More posh Land rovers!!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Original-G4-Challenge-2005-Freelander-V6-Auto_W0QQitemZ110515890474QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item19bb42a92a
  8. I’ve got plans to create a new wiring harness for my headlights and my Auxiliary lights, in the region of 600w of lighting to wire up, I’m all sorted with how I’m going to do it except I’m unsure of where to take the main power from on the loom, or straight off the battery? I have 5 power take off’s at the moment, one 20Amp and four 15Amp. Where is the best place to take this power off? http://madelectrical.com/catalog/cn-1.shtml I was thinking of putting something like this in my battery box? Anyone got one done similar? Cheers
  9. Haynes green book has wiring diagrams for all models I think. There should be a dedicated part of the loom for a radio off the top of my head, although I found mine wired into the power for the cigarette lighter, look a mess so I removed it.
  10. Get searching on ebay - i found them the best value, brit part ones aren't so bad, i have a few inert britpart components (rubbers etc) that seem to fit ok. just avoid the stuff with moving parts.
  11. There's enough mugs in the world to buy that. On a certain level I think I can identify with it, although my bucket of bolts cost be 1/16th of that one, i still got ripped off! This ones a little more tame but a tad more real: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400095803664&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  12. Good effort, very swiftly done too, After chnageing out the rear body on my 90 I would choose my lift points very carfully - quite flimsy back there.
  13. Ok, not from my landy, but quite intresting... What happens to a Hydraulic motor when you connect the outlet to another inlet... even "experts" get it wrong...
  14. Ups sorry to keep you waiting, totally forgot I posted in this thread. Its a sketchup model and you can find it here. - Alas I can't take the credit for this model. - http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=4e3ebf168f01b0556108f064aff2426d&prevstart=0
  15. Just doing the rear wing, quater and both cappings, the landrover rivets are the 4.8mm ones so u can use a 4.5mm drill or 5mm then tap out whats left of the rivet with a small screw driver... i've lost count how many I've removed. If you want to do a proper job get some sealed rivets, I just got some of fleebay for a few squid. nice easy job... unless your panels look like this! Hmmm nice new panel!!!
  16. depending on where you make your "demarcation" - i.e are you taking the wings and radiator with you? if so you need to unhook the coolent tank and pipes etc, i.e everything thats attched to intercooler and radiator, and wings. Un plug the engine harness, power stearing header too, also fuel lines, cab heater coolent lines too... Accelorator cable. You just have to go peak in your engine bay and sort out whats attached to what. And when you do lift the body, so it very very slowly just to make sure you haven't missed anything. be prepared to find some alu corrosion too.
  17. I like it how you casually use Sketchup and 3D Studio max in the same sentance
  18. Thanks for the input, I think I'll do the Airtex investment option!
  19. Intresting, from the look of it there is no intercooler though...
