  1. RS components do a huge range - should be able to find something suitable there https://uk.rs-online.com/web/c/pneumatics-hydraulics/pneumatic-cylinders-actuators/pneumatic-piston-rod-cylinders/
  2. 1 - No they don't. I have solved this many times by taking the tyre off and cleaning up the area where the tyre bead sits and then using tyre sealant. 2 - 265/75 R16 and 235/85 R16 were both options from Land Rover. I would go for the 265 again but chose a different Brand of tyre - BFG All terrains are excellent and last a long while. They made not be road biased enough for you though? 3 - How heavy is the roof tent? Could you remove it when not in use? A spare wheel on the bonnet is awful on a Defender.....you can't see where you are going!
  3. Basically yes. I decided to fit the 300tdi stubs instead of reuse the 200tdi ones saving having to make the 6mm spacer. All lined up nicely
  4. The current model comes with an option of 'Spectral green' which looks amazing. It is an expensive option though
  5. The majority (3 quarters) of Range Rover owners are apparently repeat customers - Land Rover asked them what they wanted and the answer was to improve on the last model but not to stray too far away from what was before. It is certainly an evolution of the old shape. I suspect the shape of the rear has a lot to do with getting the drag factor down If customers want more space inside then you need to come up with a solution - a turning circle the same as a current model Mini certainly seems impressive
  6. The screen is probably the only thing I am unsure on, seems to be a modern thing though as Audi/BMW/Merc all do something similar. The rest of the interior seems uncluttered and classy? I like it. Lets be honest the majority of us cant afford a brand new one (at least paying for it properly and not renting it) but if I had the disposable cash for a car I would not hesitate to chop my L322 in for one
  7. Lots of cool new tech in there. Surprising the difference the rear wheel steering makes to the turning circle
  8. Just had a little play with the configurator. Autobiography 4.4 V8, bespoke paint and a few options here and there...Ā£150k Just need a lottery win now and I am all set
  9. Really surprised by that. Judging by the number of current models with 3 axle trailers behind them you would think that would be a huge detractor
  10. Not done a Sport but had to take the entire dash out to change a Blower motor on a 2012 L322, all the earlier ones have a bodge to get round having to have the lot out, the later ones don't. I can only presume the sport was a similar level of fun! Everything is possible though
  11. Yes....hadn't clicked his link to see it was what I posted
  12. Like you I tend to buy them broken so they are cheaper šŸ˜€
  13. Agreed. Nothing illegal about fitting one either General requirements It is not illegal for vehicles to be fitted with bull bars, although the department would not recommend their fitment unless it has been shown, through compliance with specified safety standards, that they do not pose an additional risk of injury to pedestrians or other vulnerable road users. There are no plans for legislation to require bull bars that are already fitted to be removed. However, since 25 May 2007, it has been an offence for bull bars that have not been approved as compliant with those safety standards to be sold. Approved devices will carry an indelible ā€˜eā€™ mark (for example: e1 01 1471).
  14. Too much shiny glass and that colour is awful in the right colour though I think it will look good. Give it another 10 years before I can afford one!
  15. Really hope it does not look as bad as that. Was banking on this new one driving the price of L405's down!!
  16. Doug must have turned up in a different vehicle when he came to mine then - massive 2500 Cummins Dodge Ram!
  17. By the red colour and the location of the leak I would be pretty confident it is a power steering leak. They don't just normally dump all the fluid like that though. That level of leak should be pretty easy to identify - the reservoir is a black pot with 'zf' on the cap, check this for splits/the pipe not being connected properly to it, trace that down to the steering box to see if you have a leak there (normally just a drip off the end of the arm), follow the pipes across the front crossmember on the inside to the pump on the right hand side checking for wet pipes as you go, although the leak does look on the left. Had it been dripping before? A visual inspect of what components are wet will help diagnose
  18. This other thread may be of interest if you want to create some space for those new gauges
  19. Mine is a 200tdi but that will make no difference, the connector is the same on a TD5. you will still need to run a feed to the halo either from the sidelight or a perm feed which is what I did https://defenderupgrades.co.uk/product/land-rover-defender-7-wipac-led-head-lamp-with-halo/
  20. I have the Wipac LED ones and am really pleased with them
  21. I love mine - one of the best tools I have ever bought. Attached to the little battery impact wrench and you can get in prop off easily in a couple of minutes. Well worth having to turn the prop a bit to get access
