  1. Tdi - Veg oil 0p/ltr due to collecting from pub = 0p/mile errr yes
  2. Sounds like most public services now, common sense missing in vast quantities.
  3. You could go for a 4" mid with a tweeter in the pillar but unless you want to hack the rear pillars about not alot will fit. Just out of interest what have people "upgraded" thier speakers to?
  4. V8 and economy , what you need is a nice diesel My coat, why thankyou
  5. What size tyres are you running? and drop them from 50psi to about 30psi. as has been said roofrack will drop mpg alot and veg will drop it a tiny bit aswell but i wouldn't really worry that much on the veg, are you running new veg/waste veg?
  6. Welcome As Bogmonster said the noise could be coming from anywhere. I would check for play in ass the propshafts 1st and give all the uj's a good grease up. If you can get the wheels off the ground check for play in the front wheel bearings aswell as this can give some odd noises

    Headlights

I have to replace all my front lights after my disco got assaulted by a horse and cart, has anyone fitted early disco II headlights to a 300tdi? are they the same or did LR change bits as i like the look of the black surround and i can't justify the cost of late spec td5 lights as i'll probably break them.
  9. Check the rear arm bushes, my disco has a slight lean and alot of others seem to aswell, Also check the rear antiroll bar is ok and bushes are intact
  10. Just looks like a cover, undo the 2 screws with the battery taken out of the laptop and have a check underneath
  11. Do you still have the springs in between the pads?
  12. Yeah ya did If you want just MT's go for BFG imho, no real road noise on the parents T*y*ta Landcruiser with them and they last aaaaaages
  13. Running Greenway Macho's and they are fine on the road and off it, but you will need to camel cut the rears with 265/75/16's(or attack with hammer ) Very low road noise but they are directional so a spare will have to be something else
  14. I like my 8 spokes, look better than the top of a pepper pot
  15. Check all earth points as FF said, a friends 90 did similar when he turned the dash lights on, turned out to be a duff earth in the enginebay on the bulkhead
  16. Check the joint just before the steering box, mine seems to come loose and my steering goes very landrovery loose
  17. Running 2 on my roof bars
  18. Saving the spare engine and EFI stuff for a rainy day(Month)to strip down and check through but need to get the 90 running fairly quickly so getting rid of the old points system and having something slightly more modern on might help. Also its not my 90 so someone else is in control of the budget, silly person putting a v8 in, could have had a nice tdi running and sorted easily by now (Runs for cover )
  19. Have a complete range rover with all the amp and wiring and coil so bits aren't and issue, just wanted to make sure it was a fairly simple unbolt old bolt in new and do a bit of wiring.
  20. Running an old Dell laptop with a 7" touchscreen. Ebay special Bluetooth GPS and use it for memorymap and music.
  21. Sorry to Hijack but does anyone have a conversion/fitting guide for making a efi dizzy work on a carbed setup, Trying to sort out a timing issue on a friends 90 and the points seem to adjust themselves, the front adjuster is very easy to turn. We have a complete efi v8 with range rover to match and would like to get rid of the points alltogether.
  22. Save up for a proper Wideband kit if your wanting to properly monitor exhaust gasses. I use the LM1 from www.innovatemotorsports.com and have saved many a tuned car from going pop as a narrowband guage cannot give anywhere near the accuracy needed.

    tyre sizes

You should change all the tyres to be the same size. once changed rotate them around the car every few thousand miles and this will wear them out all about the same. putting different sized tyres on front and rear will cause allsort of odd handling characteristics and if you locked the centre diff you will have 2 wheels turning at a different rate to the other 2
