Didn't catch the driver/team (someone will no doubt be able to identify them ) but I caught this at the exit to SS5...
*CLICKY*
Had a good day spectating, many thanks for the warm welcome from everyone, will hopefully catch you soon!
OE leads from the dealer are now grey -they changed relatively recently, same with dizzy cap, used to be blue, now black.... That is if you meant they are blue + grey and not blue *or* grey
Anyone else experiencing issues with the forums?
The last 2 days it's been very hit and miss as to to whether I get a topic open before my patience wears out... It will just sit there on a blank page, sometimes for a few minutes before anything opens, other times it is fine.
It COULD, just hasn't been to my knowledge yet.... Don't really know what kind of feed the LPG injectors need, that would be a starting point, but this is dangerously OT, so I'll STFU
I don't use the ECU/AFM on mine (well, except the stepper motor control), as it's 99.999% of the time on LPG, the current *petrol* setup doesn't scare me THAT much that I feel the need to replace it...
This is the solution for me, I have to say, I would feel rather agrieved spending out on full MS and only using it's full capability 0.001% of the time...
Thanks to Mr Bishbosh, I got my hands on a lovely hand built heavy duty rear bumper(ex-Bishtail ), all fitted now, took a while due to LR chassis tolerances, and having to tube lots of the chassis
Now looking much more purposeful:
More to come....
Did you read my last reply? Or just fail to understand it? Or is it an off-road-only vehicle?
Sorry if I am being short, but I feel a bit ignored right now
21J, if you are in the UK(and probably the rest of civilised europe) then by converting to coils, or shortening a disco chassis to fit your 88 you will invoke the wrath of the SVA, and leave your vehicle worth only it's scrap value.
You can, however, fit the disco axles to your series on it's leaf springs -this has been done to death on here, I suggest a quick trip to the search function is in order.
I tend to use a blowlamp where heat isn't a problem -heat the centre of the old bush until the rubber is bubbling (no need to burn it right out -the fumes are horrid) then you should be able to push it out with a large screwdriver.
Then it's a hacksaw to remove a chunk of rubber from the outer casing, (this makes the next bit easier) and then hacksaw the outer case, chisel, punch and hammer do the rest -try to peel up one edge, to make it a smaller diamter -this will break the rust seal more easily.
How the heck did we manage that? That piece of string must have been super-accurate
You're absolutely right -£65 extra is next to nothing considering what we spend on these builds...
Haven't bought from Gwyn yet, but I have spoken to him on a number of occasions, very helpful guy....
Bish, I take it this was just an upgrade on the stock prop, or did you need a different length after all?
