On the 110s it is because there is no external hoop between the front and rear doors. So on a 90 there are 3 hoops so the internal one is not as needed. Still, I have full external SD cage and that will be getting an internal hoop and backstays sometime.

I believe all the heaters are the same up until the Td5 stopped being produced .

Could be steering UJs... mine were VERY bad before the MOT, try a squirt of WD40 on them and see if it makes any difference.

I'm 21 in November and I want to celebrate it with something car or Land Rover based. I quite like the look of the Gold Factory tour, but I was wondering if there is anywhere that does experience type things in a Wildcat? I normally do them by feel... tighten until it starts to bind, then slacken of a bit and retighten by feel. Other one I read was tighten bearings up to 61nm, back it off, then tighten to 4nm. Then tighten the locknut to 61nm.

She is wrong, you cannot compare the Evoke and a defender... One is designed to go with a gucci hand bag, the other a pair of wellies or boots!

I think the reason that the seal lands wear is because the grease is less likely to lubricate them than oil. so the seal is more likely to run dry.

I wonder if the defender as we know it could live on like the Lotus 7/Caterham does?

My only worry with that was the fact its not that easy for the oil to get in there?

Changing some wheel bearings yesterday reminded me what a tedious job it is to cram the bearings with grease. Is there an easier method than just massaging it in with your fingers? What's the best method you've come across?
