  1. My boss bought trailer boards for the trailers at work. First time we've had lights on them while i've worked there. no number plates though..... All 3 of our ifor williams trailers show the same plate and don't get changed.
  2. I've always fitted Armstrong ones when i've need to replace one and they've been fine.
  3. My 110 is my daily driver and i've been all over the country in it. standard apart from bulkhead removal bar. could do with fitting some more soundproofing and fitting power steering.
  4. It looks ok on the sandglow vehicles it was originally used on.
  5. but you referred to the bearmach ones in your above post.
  6. Britpart use G on the end on they're part number to supposedly denote OEM quality. The rear "G" diff pinion seal certainly wasn't close to any sort of quality. Lrseries do the genuine ERR4848 http://www.lrseries.com/shop/product/listing/5438/ERR4848-ROCKER-SHAFT.html?search=err4848&page=1 for £35.
  7. Thats just for looks, wouldn't provide any protection and you'd be more likely to catch them then the actual body.
  8. Not as bad as I was expecting, but mines a defender 200tdi which don't seem to suffer as much damage. you can see where the crank pulley stripped the belt when it carried on turning and the belt stopped. it bent a few of the push rods but other than that it was ok. but as my stem seals were leaking we swapped the head for one my mate had refurbed for me. After taking the head off could see some nice valve shaped marks on the cylinders. Got a FIP off a 200 disco on it now. Martin
  9. As far as I know a raised air intake isn't an option on l322 as they draw air from the vents on both front wings rather than one side and i'm sure of the LRE instructors told me there is a flap/valve in the intake so when at angle off road it draws air from the higher side. Was a while ago though.
  10. It was the FIP jamming that stripped my belt when i was doing 60mph earlier this year. Once we got it stripped down it would again turn by hand, but the pump would occasionally jam when turned by hand, so something must have broke inside it.
  11. They were used for the camel trophy from 1990-1997, so pretty much any youtube camel video from the period will show one in action. Make sure the freespool lever works ok, the mechanism can rust up if not looked after.
  12. no, i've done a td to 300tdi conversion this summer. all we bought was the steve parker engine mounts (you can cut them off the donor disco, but was easier for us to have the ready made bracket) and the downpipe - this is a very simple bend so could be made up locally or by yourself if you can weld. everything else was modified from the td or from the disco - disco power steering pipes do just fit, but don't look as neat as standard, intercooler pipes can be made up with a combination of rubber and metal etc. Some people like the steve parker kit as it's everything you need and gives a good looking install, others prefer to save money and modify what they have available to make it work.
  13. Duckworth land rover have been selling the bits for alot less than that.
  14. my defender 200 engine has a disco 200 pump on it and is running fine. looked identical.
  15. aren't all underground stations with the LEZ?
  16. Worse i've done in a landy is; It carried on sinking till it was sat on the body on the drivers side, took a rather big tractor to pull it out - it was dark by then. non land rover; i managed to find a wet hole last winter at work.
  17. yes it comes up at the front of the seatbox, but some people actually like it there.
  18. Remoulds are exempt as they're classed as eco friendly, so Insa special tracks are ok but Simex would be banned as they're a new tyre? As far as i know both of land rovers MT tyre options - michelin xzl and goodyear mtr will both still be available. which is fine with me as i run xzl's.
  19. Mine is modified enough but they were unable to do more than 5k, which isn't enough for me. so i went with lancaster and so far been pleased.
  20. Three types are available the grained matt black ones, shiney black one and body coloured ones. if its smooth and glossy no it won't fade like your old ones.
  21. You are still legal to drive if your photocard has expired - mine had and I didn't recieve a reminder.
  22. I've changed 3 tyres on standard rims myself and never had a problem breaking the bead.
  23. thats the type i have on my 110, with the combination ball on the lower holes my mates 16' ifor flatbed sits level.
