  1. Steve's got big problems if his clutch starts slipping I'm guessing you have a tap fitted for convenience where most have wading plugs. It's to let oil and water out, either leave open and close for wading/off roading or leave closed and check/drain periocically.
  2. I have some of the MSS net pockets too, they are rather like these ones this chap is selling on ebay, just watch his postage costs though.
  3. Don't know what the rate is but they are softer than the 330lb r/r r/g HD rears you have been using. I have some to fit to my 110 as soon as I find the time. I think they should be a good compromise between the 330lb HD ones and the 180lb+load leveler option.
  4. I ordered the following from Craddocks........... 395038 ANTI BURST LOCK OPTION 1978-84 LH £ 24.00 FQJ103840 ANTI BURST LOCK OPTION 1978-84 RH & REAR £ 22.00 395056 3 BARRELS & KEY SET FOR ANTI BURST DOOR £ 7.42
  5. I have some auto conversion threads bookmarked and they don't work eg this one doesn't work. But if I change the url to the 'print thread' url like the one above for piggy's winch putting in the correct board and thread number for the thread I want it works like this
  6. This is my passenger side one..... These are a straight fit on your doors with no fiddling around as the doors are designed for these locks or the military type of anti burst lock. A worth while upgrage from the series door catches IMHO.
  7. You can get anti burst door lock with a handle on the inside, just like the series ones. Take a look at a rear door handle/lock, that's the same part as the drivers side one. About £25 each new. If yours don't have handles on the inside I'd suggest they are from lift up handles wind up window doors rather than the series / military doors.
  8. That is because your doors are designed for the anti-burst locks. I have the oposite problem and am having to drill holes in the doors for the lock barrels
  9. My pics......... Bampton seems to be charactersied by lots of ditches And trees And more ditches Some of the trees where even right across the track How did that get there? We managed to get a punch or two It was just after that we found Bish's winch wasn't working..............and then the fans weren't working..........quick fuse change sorted bot those problems............phew Then it was Mark's (M005) turn to come through Did I mention there's trees everywhere? I wonder how Mark bent his bumper Ooops There's a digital camera under there somewhere - notice the tide mark on the back of the 90 Backing in to pick up a punch And then it's Marks turn What's going on here, is that a marshall stuck in a ditch? I guess we should help them Out of that ditch and straight into another Only one thing for it, get Bish's winch out And out it pops On sunday a few of us went laning. On the last lane of the day, which is close enough to Tony's house we could see Big Si's landrover parked in the field, we came across an obstruction..... Looked like it had rolled out of the field above the lane, or was it pushed? Driving over it didn't work The lane was narrow and high sided on both sides, so the only oprion was to roll the bail down the lane Where it laid down a nice straw carpet Now we could drive over it
  10. It's yer track rod mate. As in it adjusts the tracking.
  11. That's not a genuine kit, it's one I had made (at great expense ) and I took it off that back of Alf before selling it for two reasons, one I was keeping the nato hitch, and two I wan't happy with it's lack of bombproofness. Unfortunately one of the plates has now been chopped up to use as a backing plate for the nato hitch to go on the 90. But in hindsight it wasn't a good installation and if I was doing it again I'd either drill the rear crossmember to take the 4xM12 bolts in a nato pattern or at least drill out the top two holes in the crossmember to take some decent sized bolts.
  12. Have a good trip, I'm sure you'll be missed....................don't know by who though
  13. Just got home and unloaded the truck. Took the scenic route home via the ford at Wookey to clean some of the mud off from todays laning. Shower change and out for some grub, then a early night I think as I'm bluddy knackered, why did I think it'd be a good idea biatching for Bish of all people with his reputation?! Must say it was a cracking w/e with some equally cracking company, oh and Turbocharger Very big thank you to Tony for organising it all and inviting us. And an even bigger than you to Val who'd been slaving away in the kitchen for days by the looks of the feast that was laid on for us. Have a well earned drink Val, oh you did And for a first LRA forum get togther this w/e takes some beating. I won't name them either, that would be just wrong....................................but I'll post the pics later. Lets just same it's not the first time he's been snapped by my camera in a compromising position.
  14. They look very like the ones John C posted links too. When I've been after something like that in the past I've never found a Uk supplier for anything like them. Where's Roger Barton, are you listening, there's a market here I did look up and found a UK supplier for Bussmann products (which is the make of the ones John C psoted) and although I can't see those fuse/distribution boxes listed on their website they might be worth a try.
  15. And yet the T-Max seems to be a popular choice in Aus, maybe that does say something about them.
  16. I just hope I remember to pack it Reminder set on phone
  17. Oh and it's 6.3mm blades if you wanna put some crimps on yer wires ready so it's all plug and play.
  18. I have two brand new shiney ones in the garage, I shall bring one along. Wouldnt want to mess up Les's nice dash
  19. What if any are the drawbacks of fitting the temp sender (capillary type) in the top hose rather than the usual position in the inlet manifold. This is a 4.2 V8 on carbs we're talking about.
  20. If you want to compare different setups you might find this useful
  21. You can use anti-burst locks with split/series doors. There are a couple of different types, the late SIII type like rear doors locks (actually same part is the drivers side one) or the military type with the little 'flap' locks as fitted to military 90/110's. I'm fitting the series/rear door type to mine. If buying new doors get the ones with the hole for the lock, often described as stage 1 / military doors.
