Cornish Rattler
Hi guys Can anyone recomend a decent corded or rechargable vacuum cleaner to use in the back of the landy ( overlander ) and roof tent please to save me lugging the garage one up and down the ladders ☹️
muddy
Milwaukee Packout. Look up bigredpowertools.co.uk
landroversforever
It's a bit overkill but a mate's Makita industrial one is great and has a really long hose so you don't have to drag it about much.
smallfry
Being devils advocate again, any battery powered vacuum is not going to have the grunt of a corded one, and there is the expense of it. Why not buy a Henry/George/Alfred/Tristram or whatever to keep in the garage or shed and buy a 10 metre hose for it ( I have got two 5m hoses joined) bags are cheap too if you buy from Costco in bulk. Mine is green, and will suck water too. Very handy.
L19MUD
You hoover out your Land Rovers?!
ThreePointFive
I like to cut out the middleman and just not use it in the first place. The other option is a plinth to raise the vacuum by a few feet and only have to deal with the hose, doesn't have to be stupidly high to gain you the extra length. Another vote for Henry, and they come with long hoses.
landroversforever
Whatever you do, don’t bother with the battery Henry… the ones at work are useless.
Anderzander
I have a Milwaukee hoover … it’s good man’s so like it and use it a lot. The point about it not being as powerful as a corded hoover is well made - but for cleaning my wife’s car, getting vast quantities of dog hair out of the Land Rover, and hoovering the workshop - it works fine. If you had a really dirty carpet - it would struggle
Cornish Rattler
Thanks guys, it will also be used whilst being away camping and vacing sand and grass out as my metal detectors and stuff go in the back of the landy and grass gets everywhere in the roof tent 🙂
simonr
I have a Dyson handheld, which I bought used on eBay (for very little as it was filthy dirty, but works just fine). It lives in my camper van now.
mickeyw
I keep a dustpan and brush in the back of my 110. It does an ok job on dry matter.
