I did hear that T.H.White in Wootten Bassett had a customer roll a demonstrator on the 'extreme' off-road course in the car park. Customers are not allowed to drive it themselves now.

Les.

It just gets used by the staff on their mountain bikes at lunchtime now.

So if I said that today I pranged a range rover sport into another one whilst loading it onto a ship...brand new cars bound for america.....hit accelerator and brake instead of just brake......oops!

Kind of an embarassing afternoon

Not quite as bad as seeing a full load of new cars being dragged off n the US with chains after a particularily bad crossing when a few broke their lashings and turned the ship into what resembled a rather large tumble dryer full of shiney cars.

Luckily in this case the lashings on the car behind prevented a domino effect!

I know a dealer who had a Defender fall off the delivery truck as it was being off loaded - it landed upside down on the forecourt :(

My Local dealer has a Range Rover Sport drive off the ramps while trying to test the hand brake unfortumately it landed in the lap of the mechanic who was working on it at the time. Mechanic survived incident but did not hear anything further. :o:(
