axlechorus
I couldn't help but share this when trying to order a second one of these for another vehicle after being impressed with the first one, which genuinely does go on and off in less than a minute once you get the knack of it! Disco-Ron
Cut the gaiter. One nut and away you go. ....
rrr47
Hack saw through the main gear lever and it's off, bit hard to change gear after.
Anderzander
I've seen a few things on eBay with mad prices temporarily .... I assumed it was done when they were waiting for new stock or something ?
simonr
If you list an item on eBay, but then run out of stock the only option you have is to de-list in which case you loose the listing fees. You can however change the price - so nobody buys any (and you're laughing if they do!). New stock arrives, change the price back! Disco Ron - it's supplied with a security shear-nut so you cut the gaiter and discover you cannot take it off. Sure you can cut the shaft - but it takes time & it's potentially noisy. The easiest way to remove the shear nut is to cut two flats on it with a saw / disc cutter then use a spanner. Not so easy with the lock in the way though! Boydie
I don't think my insurance company would pay towards the cost of buying one, at that price keeping a nasty tempered hungry Rottweiler in the car would be a lot cheaper and a lot more effective - and he could look after the house when he wasn't in the car - bonus ! mad_pete
Why doesn't ebay offer a pause listing ?
ejparrott
'Cos they can't make money out of it and that's all they're interested in?Why won't they give free listings for security items for vehicles, or pay the postage on them for the retailer and customer? mad_pete
It's about good service, having a million pound padlock for sale on eBay while stock is being delivered I don't think benefits anybody. I didn't say pausing had to be free.
zim
How've you got £112 worth of ebay vouchers ! ?
FridgeFreezer
At least the postage is a lot cheaper than their website!
Bull Bar Cowboy
Why doesn't ebay offer a pause listing ? It does ............. it is hidden deeply in the site preferences page and available only to business users. Once stock drops to zero, it is hidden but still a live listing, so it keeps its 'items sold ' numbers & page views.
axlechorus
How've you got £112 worth of ebay vouchers ! ? You can convert nectar points to ebay vouchers, just before Christmas last year there was a good deal that you got back 50% of the value of the points you cashed in almost as cash back.
