I’ve seen this on a classic motorcycle forum and it’s full of people citing that their vehicle never came with halogen to start with - so it doesn’t apply. There always seems to be some level of ambiguity in these things.

It looks like caranex may have ceased trading / their website hasn’t been updated in ages and they aren’t replying to messages....
Is there an alternative that I might be able to use to put a porch on the back of my 80”?
I fancied one - but an old one to not look out of place on the front of the series, but I haven’t seen one that isn’t either souped up or knackered ... 🤷🏻♂️

I haven’t come across a Defender on there - quite a few Classic Range Rovers and Series vehicles - none for really big money, but weirdly the modified series seem to be getting the bigger money.
I took a mechanical oil pressure feed from there.
Is your blanking plate the proper part or just a plate ?
I tried a plate to start with on mine - but it leaked - just not enough width to seal against. So I ended up buying the proper blanking plate (ERC9884) that sits into the opening and uses the o-ring. Expensive... but worked 🙂
