This is probably one for @PaulMc but @western might beat him to it..... Some fat fingered thug managed to pull this wire out of the connector when disconnecting it. My Google Fu is weak and I cannot find an obvious link to replace it like for like. Can anyone help with a part number or suitable replacement please?

At the back of a 110 SW there is a member that spans the full width of the tub. YRM part number 097. The door threshold strip screws into this piece. Mine has seen better days, which is annoying as the rest of the tub is in good nick. Has anyone removed one of these without making a total mess of the body? There seem to be a load of spot welds so I presume I am drilling those out to replace with rivets? The rear chassis cross member is currently off along with the fuel tank so I want to take this opportunity to tackle this whilst I have access. Any tips for getting it off and to minimise distortion of the body panels would be great.

I'm sorry, but I don't see what the problem is. We all should know that you can fix anything with baler twine! -
I have a Warco mini lathe. It is fine for what it is (tiny - only weighs 60kg or two hernia in old money). That said, I don't think I would be looking at their larger machines. Like you, I looked long and hard at both Colchester and Harrison. Perhaps it is just an unreasonable bias against Warco as they don't have a 100 year history but that should be offset by modern design and manufacturing techniques which in turn is offset by being made down to a price and not up to a quality! I parked my lathe purchasing ambitions when I bought the 110 but when I next go looking it will almost certainly be an ex toolroom lather from Bidspotter with Colchester or Harrison written on it somewhere.

Only the large parts Jeff?? 🤪

I would try writing to Land Rover. I had to do similar bringing a car(Seat Leon) from Ireland to the UK. Once I'd found the right department to speak to it was fairly easy - they just sent a certificate through that I sent on to the UK's DVLA to register it.

The answer to this is "it was your beard's fault" . Standard bolts are good down to -50 so it was definitely your beard.

I find my butt cheeks are the best measure of a side slope. Never understood why anyone would want an inclinometer in their vehicle. Each to their own I suppose. -

……and then everyone went quiet…….🤪🤪🤣 -
Sad to read this. The "Man Machine and Chequebook vs Nature" event up there was probably the highlight for me. That and the night we all spent watching Moglite having its chassis ears straightened to disco toons and light show! Oh, and the BBQ chicken that was black on the outside and pink on the inside 🤮 Sad to read about Selwyn too. 'suppose I should delete his number from my phone now. 😕

My kidneys hurt just thinking about it. £1,600 plus all the extras you'll want plus VAT! -
Found it for £25 on Amazon so have gone with that. Still seems like an extortionate amount of money for a plastic bottle. I can get a glass one full of nice grape juice for less!
-
Yup, that's the one but at £40 I am going to have to psych myself up to buy it!

Finally got around to doing some shopping: Is this any good? WURTH® 1L PUMP SPRAY BOTTLE DISPENSER CLEANER SOLVENT ADJUSTABLE NOZZLE BREAK 4053479030418 | eBay Edit: Never mind - the Wurth site only lists one suitable for brake cleaner and it isn't that one despite what the ebay listing says 😕

Actually managed to speak to someone at Britpart. The Evo 2 is discontinued with no replacement so Nanocom here I come!
-
Sadly not. I had one with my L322 and it was fantastic but they are forward looking and have no plans to "go back" to the TD5. 😕
-
Before I spend more money than I want to on a Nanocom, does anyone have a Lynx Evo 2 using an Android phone? The Google Play store on my phone cannot find the app and a search online on a PC says it is not available for my device which is weird as the blurb says it works on IOS and Android? Some more Googling shows historical problems with the app being removed which concerns me as no app means an expensive paperweight! Britpart are of course there usual helpful selves - ages on hold with no response or an undeliverable email address! All this is pushing me towards a Nanoncom but the stories of buggy upgrades and non existent support make the £500 spend a little unpalatable! Then again, after 3 years I'll have to fork out another £100+ for the Lynx licence so maybe this is just a storm in a teacup and I need to put my big boy pants on and spend the dosh...

Wot he said. Airsoft BB's. Cheap as chips, break the bead , pour in about 150g, re-inflate and you're done. -
I think with your personal knowledge you shouldn't be scared of a dealer. You also have the sale of goods act on your side so at least a 6 month warranty. Do your research on the dealers and go for it. No reason that an auction is going to be any less risky, even if you might save a few quid on the actual purchase price. I bought my last car (5 years old, not a Land Rover, sorry) online, sight unseen. Did the usual checks (HPI etc) and it has a full main dealer service history which I could view online. Had it delivered to my home at which point I examined it and was happy to accept it.
