  1. Have forgot the various Defenders i have had,, If space is not a high priority , a 90 is not as "stiff" a drive than the 110, and is certainly more "chuckable" but as stated above, the 110 does not pitch around as much as a 90 I need the space, did try a few 110 DC, which just did not work for me, as i also need load length ! and the tailgate/canopy was a pain !! Also the rear seats did not feel as comfortable as in a station wagon ?? but then i never sit in the back ! As a daily driver, the 110 has proved not problem , allowing for the steering lock
  2. Morris K48 Gresse for me ,, and confirmed by Ashcrofts
  3. Dunc,, the 5 door will keep its vaule better,, I doubt you will get much off the asking prices, knowing the vendors !!
  4. Mmm ditto,, best i have got so far is similar 22.5 ,,, worst 17.5 , so its not just me then !! hey ho back to topic !!
  5. I would never buy a manual car, given the choice,, whatever model or make,, we aren't in the 19th century now !!! If that one at £1400 is OK underneath,, i would snatch his arm off !!!
  6. No Jim,, i wont comment,, bar that's it a little further on than your vapor built,, !! i presume this one moves ?? I just can not believe he has 2 mates to bid on it !!! Les,, at least he lifted rather than lowered !!

  13. Yep, another good day,, No damage, bar for the Jim's barge, which for a standard vehicle, bar a lift and Mt's did well The hybrid performed faultlessly again,, shame the Rangie did not get that far,, Thanks Mark, David and James, for the watchful eye getting it back to base !! Great company as usual,, good to see Gary and Andy make the trip over from Wales !! Even though Gary's line down the wash out in Middle wood was a tad different !! 2 hours to wash the dog Jim !! good job he did not round in the mud !! you would still be their !!

  20. To put the record straight, the ""Barbie goes to the racetrack" Sport did not get a puncture !! just a nick in the sidewall, which was down to following Chris up a quickly disappearing track in Andorra !! So its his fault but was expected, that's why a couple of spares were taken with us !! And the reference to the Puma, was whether Walfy's std Defender was up to a similar trip Oh,, and one small point,, Chris certainly did not look like Ken, when he last drover the G4 !!!
  21. OK,, since its way OT,, i won't take insult re the "Barbie goes to the racetrack" comment Besides its was Chris's fault
  22. Thys,, fully agree, gen to Bosch, being more than likely OE, at 25 of the price, !! But always check Main dealers prices as well, surprising how many parts have had the price "adjusted" to be competitive with the aftermarket,, or the aftermarket can not buy for another source, making them the similar
  23. What ever you do, do not knock it,, You try and buy front or rear bumpers !! Just done an insurance job on a 04 plate,, only 2 bumper left in the country !!!! well one now
