  1. it does very minor however its easeier to fine tune the end of the stub axles
  2. dont change the ird until you have checked the wheel bearings. mine whined for a pastime every time it needs a new wheel bearing because of the cage it sounds like a spiftfire
  3. not sure if anyone took a photo but i am sure they did Guy shepherd at romsey when he decided to go into the puddle filled the engine with water If i remember it took three winches to get him out or me at burnworthy where it took two hours of winching and broke lovejoys winch, Hifonics winch and my winch.Somewhere there is a photo of the series being dragged through the bog with about 2 tonnes of mud sliding in front like a landslide

  10. 1 i never started this thread 2 you are taking part in the discussion if you feel that it is not correct to express ones views then dont take part. 3 It would have been nice to have had an email rather than find the system had gone to be replaced with something which my personal reaction to is of inferior quality. Again my view i am sure that conflicts with yours. 4 discussing it on the lra forum gets you shot down in flames. Not really aware of any real answers or responses to peoples queries other than wait it will improve.
  11. yep i am allowed to or has freedom of speech been removed? If i think something is carp i am allowed to say that. Same as you are allowed to say wow isnt it wonderful. and yes sending out passwords in unsecure emails is rather bad practice. I am very surprised at the IT department of Denis publishing aka LRA allow such shodding practices to go on. It appears now that asking 1 question about the ownership of the site offends people and cannot be discussed online.
  12. I guess that was the same insecure email sent out containing in plain view both the email address and your password?
  13. and like most bog rolls seems full of carp
  14. see my comment in the new web site section on the web site. The t&c's , our other web sites copyright notices seem to suggest that LRM/denis own the web page and the forum. This may of course be a misunderstanding but the info suggests that to me
  15. according to the report the msa license was for a tyro. how did a vehcile tumble 200 foot down a hill in a tyro.
  16. ask on innovate4x4 as a lot of them are around the southwest
  17. yes they are expensice what sort of money are you looking at spending and how much of a restore project are you after?
  18. surely you should be using a series one for this as thats what they were advertised to do
  19. got a set of p38 wheels which fit if thats any use

  20. wonder if that would work in a disco which has a knackered heater fan
  21. just because something was replaced xx mths ago doesnot mean it isnt the cause. I would be assuming all the above sugesstions in that wheel bearings are iffy, panhard bushes iffy etc and check all of them. after all you have a problem which is making the vehicle un drivable.
  22. i would be checking suspension bushes particularily panhard ones
  23. dont take the wife out in the landrover. Ifind that cures most whining noises
