  1. Oh dear, I feel embarrassed for him He's just posting to himself and then replying to himself on the roof cleaning thread (2 pages on cleaning your roof !!!!!!!!!!!!! ). Shame He's obviously got problems. Mo
  2. Come along Puggers, finger out, what ! Mo
  3. Out with the MIG set these days then, Les, rather than you your trademark gas welding. A splendid piece of work. Mo
  4. I'll bet the wet start isn't working either Where's me coat ........................................................... Mo
  5. Blimey Corders, you've changed your name ! You kept that quiet Mo
  6. Obviously no need to carry several tons of coal down the canal either Mo
  7. I had one courtesy of BT which was very good until it died but I can't remember the make. Now I have a shiney snap-on one which is better and comes with a little blow torch fitting and other tips that I don't know how to use works really well too and solders big fat wires outside in the wind and cold. Mo
  8. I'm with Bish, Will and the bearded one on this matter. Always a tricky call, situations like this but is necessary to keep our forum as it is. Good call chaps. Mo
  9. Gobby, a cheap ex disco Tdi will transform your landy for about as much as you are going to spend on it now. Mo
  10. Like Tony, I'm going to buy a 9l afff extinguisher. Mo
  11. Enlightened ones, I seek a USB GPS receiver for my laptop for running MM in the landy. I have a bluetooth tomtom receiver which I use for my pda but it's a pain not being able to run the two devices at once off the one receiver so I'm looking at a USB reciever with a lead (bluetooth dongle on the laptop has proved a bit vulnerable in use). What features should I look for ? I don't need the latest all singing all dancing receiver, just a decent, reliable little unit that tells MM where I am TIA Mo
  12. If it's cutting the electrical supply to the fuel solenoid, which it should, then there's no reason why switching the live should not kill the engine. Mo
  13. mmm deep ... Pizza, gotta go Mo
  14. Adrian, it's the QT arms that cause the problem with the prop by rotating the axle back round therefore increasing the angle on the props. It's a bit of a trade off, you get your self centering back and get good at changing UJs or have good UJ life and poor steering centering. I went for the former and am now quite good at UJs Mo
  15. Quite right Toger, it does look good except for the ultimate style crime - tyre white lettering on the outside Mo
  16. There are two types of disco 200 air box and the filter is not interchangable. The later one has a pronounced flange at one end which is what I think you have. So you need the other 200 tdi discovery air filter. The Defender 200 air box is similar to yours but is the same length as the earlier disco box. Mo
  17. T, The only bolt on cross member that is bolted on to the chassis is the gearbox cross member (generally), the removal of which aids gearbox removal. Mo
  18. I didn't know you could make sheds out of copper or ali ! Be a trifle pricey wouldn't it ? I'd buy a wooden shed and line it with insulation, soon heat up then. Mo (Tongue firmly in cheek )
