  4. the plain lead in "should" assist in not cross threading the fitting, however ive normally gone for the longer non lead in version personally, 2nd point i would believe that is correct, However, as much as i like the idea of doing them in brass, £1+ each a fitting, f that, ill continue to use the plated fittings at 50 for £12, ive never had any issues with them corroding away like cackshifter is suggesting, either way each to there own
  5. youre progressing much better than i am with these axles im building, not sure if its just the angle of the picture but the axle casings look very narrow,
  6. @Stellaghostdid you do the warn trophy uk events with your lightweight?
  7. as an observation, the salsbury front axles although having a huge ground anchor of a diff, i believe the shafts & cvs are the same as the standard 24 spline axle,
  8. i have a set of bfg KM2's that i could be persuaded to part with, 255/85/16 size
  9. i stay just outside bathgate, havent been to drumclog recently but used to go regularly
  10. this is the start of the slippery slope, before long you have jumped to 37" tyres, twin lockers, twin winches & then promptly buried it way beyond the reach of any of your mates to come & help you, did this at drumclog & i think we had 6 vehicles all stuck trying to get to me, to get mine unstuck
  11. appears to be a brazilian company, there main axle products appear to be dana 60/70/80 style with a reasonable price point, altough they seem to use a lot of inhouse products rather than known branded components
  12. i believe @NRS91nick steggel was selling them before fourby, https://stegs4x4.co.uk/product/dynamic-timing-advance-spacer-kit/ However i believe they are a timing spacer rather than a governer speed spacer like the OP is trying to do,
  13. mudmaster is a good event, won it a few times with my dad in the past
  14. im pretty sure thats a portugese car so i would message these guys https://www.facebook.com/dediland/ as it has there wheels on it & theres a chance they make the winch bumpers as well
  15. not forgetting the obligitary high vis jacket, rigger boots & a one life live it sticker
  16. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Half-Shaft/174529165796?epid=2028031397&hash=item28a2bfb9e4:g:PWIAAOSw-wZfunDc not sure if that helps?
  17. the senders are the same Source: im using a discovery engine in my defender
  18. the ecu is set up as a discovery, which is why the temperature gauge works backwards, if you contact https://stormtuning.com they will be able to assist in getting the ecu set up correctly for your vehicle,
  19. https://www.lrparts.net/wqt100030l-inertia-switch-for-defender-td5-discovery-2-and-freelander-1.html
  20. on my td5 i replaced the inertia switch with an emergency stop button mounted on the dash
  21. from your discription id suggest a td5 one, its 2 wires with a push to reset
  22. i have trucklite LED headlights on my 110, they work very well however the beam pattern takes a bit of getting used to as it has a dark spot directly in front of the vehicle, if i was buying another set i would look at the JW speaker heated LED headlights as the biggest flaw of LED headlights is driving in the snow, the lenses get covered over quite easily
