i have just purchased a clutch kit for my discovery 300tdi its a valeo kit my question is what side of the plate faces the flywheel as there is no marking on it,one side is reasonably flush and the other sticks out a little any help please chris.

its probably a bit late now but i use a filter strap to hold the pulley to stop it turning hope this helps chris.

yes and no it oviously works better when your moving as its spinning but failing that option go for one of the electric powered roof vents thay work either direction suck/blow have a look at some pictures of the police dog vans most have these fitted,chris.

i fitted one in a transit roof i think it was a 3 inch hole drilled a hole and cut it out with a jigsaw there is three small boltholes iirc quite an easy installation chris

if its airtight and you block the intake the engine will starve of oxygen and will stop you can then listen for hissing as it draws air in any leaks if it doesnt stop its not water tight

have you bent a prop or has mud got caught up somewhere if you say uj are ok

i agree with you i had oxygen and acetylene from boc ive taken back the acectylene and im now using propane for cutting i looked at air products as a supplier but didnt seem to work out any cheaper like you said the fixed charge for collection is a p take,but i suppose there aint any company who can compete with boc ive been a customer with boc for 22 years but i keep looking for another supplier,chris.

i had a similar problem and found it to be a bad earth connection cleaned all connections been ok so far,chris.

12.6 to 12.8 is a fully charged battery my disco charges at 14.2 with nothing on and drops to 13.6/13.8 with lights blower wipers on overnight battery drops to 12.6 chris

have you checked all the earth connections take them off clean them and put back on coat of grease/vaseline to stop it rusting hope this helps
