  1. Tony, I know wher the member list is - but thanks for the link. I was asking for figures rather than a list of members and thier post counts On top of the other questions, how many of the 1K new members have posted and how many are not the flash in the pan types I know the figures are available - I am just intreged (sp)
  2. Les How many of the 9K odd members are regular posters? How many have posted in the last 6 months How many have been on line in the last 6 months Just wondered - not looking for trouble just interested
  3. After Mo posted this: http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=34753 it got locked (and lets be honest a tadge to much locking is going on these days!) As forum members and donators we (the forumeers) could do with an update. Names have been put forward and a (hopefully) diplomatic decision os being made as to who will be invited to become a Moderator. However it gets tiring sitting on the edge of your seat waiting to know what's going on, so can we have a detailed update please - and can that update be ASAP bearing in mind that Admin and Mods are here to serve the best interests of the forum which as we all know are it's members Thank you Oh, just to say please don't remove this post or lock it unless it genuinely requires locking, I am not looking to cause trouble, I (and many others) just want to know!
  4. I tend to shout loudly - this works well Gesticulating vigorously works well
  5. Ralph is right 12V feed In and Out with Earth underneath Gearbox should be okay but will need a degrease and re-grease - use LM2 or Red Line AND not too much. Replace the seals with quality sealant (exterior). Check in the bushes, replace if warn (ha ha) but even better ring David Bowyer and get a TDS 8500 motor (4.6hp) and just replace the lot. Check the main shaft for wear/twist and and check the brakes Deal with Arbil first for ALL warn spares as they are often cheaper than Uncle Buck
  6. James At this present moment in time I can marshal so Insha Allah I will be there
  7. Steve The T Box frpm the Nissan 720 pickup is uber bullet proof and remote, it also has some nice ratios
  8. Paul Don't touch it with someone elses barge pole Thirsty Underpowered Pig to work on Cooling issues from new
  9. Still do it Paul, also cover loads of other stuff as well - now do it for Beer Vouchers and a chance to take the mick out of BubbaPug Also got some details on one or two very clever people who do overland based medical stuff
  10. I'm happy to cover the Mil section or the Series section. Most people know me, I moderate on three other LR/4x4 forums (but one requires little work), I know a enough about both subjects to keep my head above water.
  11. I quite liked the link to the atractions of Odessa
  12. Bish, I'm down at Le Maison De Jez tomorrow, if it fits in a 300C boot and you could organise it we could bring it back to God's country and I could bring it into work on Monday
  13. James Use either a 4x4Winches bikini mount or one of David Bowyer's like GB Mud has
  14. Had my LA Supatrux spacers for 5 years now; on two vehicles' 10's of thousands of miles on and off road and no problems
  15. Close but not the cookie winner It's what's written on it eg Orange painted single plate folded ball hitch with integral pin = 1500kgs SWL HD 5tonne combo hitch with 4 bolts is rated 5 tonne pin and 5 tonne ball, whereas Dixon Bate 4 bolter is 5 tonne pin 3.5tonne pin and hitch Any of these without the pin are null and void I agree with Chris on this one
  16. 50mm towballs are rated from 1.5tonnes to 5 tonnes depending on design I watched a prat of a HATO tow a 44tonner up a slip road the other day. Disco 3 with a 3.5 tonne towball on. Allow 10 percent fror a rolling load and add 1/60th of the weight per drgree of slope. Not only is that Disco a rolling disaster zone but that is one tough old tow ball
  17. Yes it will but why? As Steve says EP/TDS motors are cheap and to be honest the XP motor is such a backwards step
  18. Haven't been able to get to the pub yet - gastric flu and welding last weekend, welding and ex wife issues this weekend. Give Anton at OEC a bell he still has my projector and screen that I lent him two years ago. I'm sure he would be interested in the talk and might let me have them back afterwards
  19. One shot is okay, LM2 is cool but Red Line is best (and oh so expensive) Speak to Anton ay OEC about master rings - he sells the right sort at the right loading
