  1. Surely a pair of non-portal hubs would work
  2. The high and rough idle sounds like the MAF is disconnected or failed to me, only know this as forgot to plug it back in once
  3. When combined with a heavy right foot....
  4. I would heartily agree with this. Maybe even.... 'No rattlers', as the 2.25 petrol has a nice sound too. Noise and tyre size would be fine with me, but them I'm not running 37s...
  5. TBH, camping with a portaloo is fine, water can be bottled off site easily. I dare say if there was enough demand a/few portaloo could be rented by Shire for a weekend (though I have no idea how much they are!), and funded as part of the event cost. Then there's chance if you had more than one site close to one another (thinking about the quarries @nonimouse is talking about) then you camp in between them, and do one site one day, and one the next, in two groups if the attendance is too much for everyone all at once. There's ways to play this game, I reckon.
  6. Lambs leer sounds like a nice spot for camping, challenge/trials often camp up there in a nice flat-ish field.
  7. It is a bit bizarre to be honest, if the environment agency have been pushing them hard on it. I am grateful for the couple of times I've been, my son will be pretty upset, that is absolutely certain.
  8. Yeah, lot of places with no stock, as with these two options, but they are 20" and 37: 37x13.50R20 121P Toyo Open Country M/T | Tyres Direct (tyresdirectuk.co.uk) 37x13.50R20 121P Nitto Mud Grappler | Tyres Direct (tyresdirectuk.co.uk)
  9. Here's a 35 on 20": 35x12.50-20 Trepador M8060 Tyre - 121K 10PR TL E - Mudslingerz Tyres Suitable tyre on a 17": Maxxis 40x13.50-17 Trepador M8060 Tyre - 123L 8PR TL EP REG - Mudslingerz Tyres
  10. Had a bit of a hunt of my usual suspects, short story is.... for anything on a 20" rim they tend to be max 35" tyres, if you want 37" or over you really ought to drop down to a 17.... then you may stand a chance of getting something this side of the pond. Maxxis, Milestar, Goodrich are all pretty much the same in this respect, I guess it comes down to carcass availability.
  11. Were you not waiting to get some floor scales? Or am I misremembering?
  12. HardAsNails I think? As discussed before, Sid needs a tyre suitable for the weight of the truck (which Stephen still needs to confirm ) Current tyres have massively stiff sidewalls which on a <2 ton rig don't want to flex..... even at 5PSI.
  13. Yes.... Escape did ask about Broxhead, but it's more than 3 hours away for me... As sadly are most of the other sites Shire use, but then I am somewhat out of their catchment Mannington is a great site, and you won't damage things unless you are really stupid. Will add 21st April to the calendar
  14. Don't think there's one in the calendar just yet, but there was one another last year, some time around June, maybe?
  15. A set of 4 is £659, @Nonimouse, sneaky trick of that website, price shown initially is just for two.
  16. You could do depth measuring duty.... But then you would still get muppets in D90s up to their roof 🙄
  17. If it helps mentally at all, it's the same in Audi world too.... Very difficult to get one that works properly.
  18. You could, or often you can pop the cover off even these soldered relays and take a look at the contacts, and clean them up.
  19. What's in it now? Should be 88 these days, no reason to run cooler.
  20. It's called encouragement, Stephen, I think.
  21. Could easily just be a corroded or worn out contact.
  22. You'll likely see a drop off in MAP when using the snorkel, but the ECU won't care, you may just lose a tiny bit of top end.
  23. It was a more a sarcastic remark that there's always '4x4' rather than 'car' swept away in these articles.... I mean they wouldn't write 'supermini swept away in 4" of flood water', would they?
