  1. Agree with this entirely, they don't need another 'SUV' no matter how cool they may make it look.
  2. I think if you called the relevant authorities, and explained the situation, you could be much more confident about ordering the right chassis, rather than going on internet-guesswork. I suspect if you ask, the answer would be 'either would be fine', I mean, it's not like you are extending the wheelbase, snub-nosing or bobtailing it are you? It's a replacement chassis with everything in the same place.
  3. To be honest, I bet they will want the production line for the 2015 replacement, tis only 15 months away after all... It's odd in a way, people are eulogising how wonderful the 'Puma' Defender is, at the same time moaning about corrosion issues, price, performance, crash safety, 'hideous' special editions, to me it sounds like actually the best thing they can do is stop production, the sooner they do, the sooner a decent replacement will be made. Fingers crossed they will get it right unlike the DC100 concept (which is NOT the new 'fender, in case anyone was unsure).
  4. Don't be silly FF, the body would surely depart company from the subframes and you would be left with front-wheel drive only
  5. If ignition is off on the test cars, there should be no relay clicking at all when plugging ECU in. If it did, you would be flattening your battery every day or two just through the relay coil current.
  6. And £1600 inc VAT, you can get new 2-post for that...
  7. Is that 300TDI (i.e. straight drop arm) or earlier with the swan neck? I have both setups here to measure...
  8. Air gap is set by the distance the sensor is from the reluctor ring, and generally isn't adjustable except by knocking the sensor in a bit further after cleaning the grime out. Have you replaced the ring from the back wheel?
  9. Looks complete, and a seems reasonable to me.
  10. Early Freebies were 2000Kg, later(not FL2s, facelift) were 1800Kg.
  11. I have cement fibre roofing, condensation isn't really a problem in all honesty, I think the concrete walls in your setup will be the issue.
  12. A-ha, this is the right thread : http://www.ebay.co.u...=item461408d5e9 Funky
  13. Did anyone else see this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/landrover-series-3-camper-1974-/300983834089?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item461408d5e9
  14. Learn to left-foot brake Not offended of course, just friendly banter
  15. I've not seen any that big designed for off-roaders, but a search for 'agricultural air pre-cleaners' gets you lots of results, and it should just be a case of finding one with the right inlet size and style and fix it on This sort of thing: http://www.turboprecleaner.com/products_turbo3.html Just a case of finding one in the UK...
  16. I thought your question was rhetorical, sorry, though I'm not sure you can have a discussion about the benefits of a certain locker brand without considering the other options.
  17. I think I would still be going to Ashcroft if I was in the market for a locker....
